GF Villas December Discount?

Asking for opinions: When they release the RO discounts for the fall dates will the new GF Villas be included? We are thinking of going ahead and booking if we could adjust the $$ if a discount comes out. Thanks!

Anything is possible (especially with Disney....LOL), but I wouldn't count on any discounts for VGF this year. Usually when a new resort opens, people are excited to try it, so Disney has no trouble filling rooms. Plus there are people that have bought DVC with VGF as their home resort, who have already made reservations using their points. With that said, cash reservation are being accepted for the end of the year and I have seen reports of people having booked already, so I wouldn't count on a discount.

Well, I guess it just depends, but I got a great discount on BLT when it first opened - in fact, I checked in opening day. So it's possible there could be a discount, and it's possible it will be excluded. It all depends on occupancy, pure and simple. There's no way to know at this time.

That being said, the more people who book now hoping for a discount later, the less incentive Disney has to discount the rooms. There have been several instances of this in the past. I remember a December a few years back where lots of people had booked WL hoping there would be a discount. So many people booked that WL was specifically excluded from the discount offers. There were a lot of angry people who either had to pay rack rate or change resorts to get a discount.
