I was there for a night in late September. We had a ground floor connecting room just down the hall from the lounge, which suited us fine, as we had two strollers, and it was easy to get to and from the room.
The food offerings were great
Morning- there were pastries and muffins
Mid morning- fruit, parma ham and cookies
Lunch- sandwiches and fruit
Mid afternoon- Hot scones, jam, trifle, cookies (all the same as the afternoon tea in the GF main lobby)
Evening- light snacks- stuffed chicken, salad breads (dh knows more than I do on this one).
Drinks- they had pitchers of lemonade, sodas and evian bottled water. Full selection of tea and coffee. The lounge staff approached me when they saw the two kids, to let me know that they had nice cold fresh milk for the bottles so if I needed it to let them know. There are paper cups with lids laid out, so you can take the drinks to go.
I'm not sure about the views- our room backed onto the marina and I think there was a monorail view. The lounge staff couldn't have been more helpful and I just loved the place. It's so nice to just walk out of the sugar loaf lodge and take a stroll down to the boat dock, or around the grounds in general.
You'll have a great time.
Here's a pic of dh and my daughter in the lounge one morning
