interesting...the last time I was at RIV I was able to get to world showcase within 10 minutes.I guess you could go RIV and have zero parks close by? LOL Or just stay in the moderate next door.

Yeah this is my thought as well. I’m currently pregnant and did a BCV/RIV split stay in June during that major heatwave. It felt less strenuous to get to epcot from RIV than it did from bcv.interesting...the last time I was at RIV I was able to get to world showcase within 10 minutes.
The RR skyliner station is a further walk then walking to Epcot from BCV - nevermind the ride time.Yeah this is my thought as well. I’m currently pregnant and did a BCV/RIV split stay in June during that major heatwave. It felt less strenuous to get to epcot from RIV than it did from bcv.
This is inaccurate. The Skyliner drops you much closer than walking from the bcv rooms. The RR skyliner station is a further walk then walking to Epcot from BCV - nevermind the ride time.

Just to go from your room to the skyliner is longer - not even including where you are dropped offThis is inaccurate. The Skyliner drops you much closer than walking from the bcv rooms.

Again, this is not alway true and I have stayed at both places many times.
It is certainly longer to get to get to HS from BCV than it’s us from RIV, even for those that can do the walk.
if one can’t, then the walk to the boat and the ride is pretty long
The benifit to the skyliner is that you don't have to wait for it ( continous feed). If the boat is at the dock it is faster than the skyliner - if not it's a toss up.
As sandi mentioned, it depends on your room location but it has never taken me longer than 5-7 minutes to walk to the Skyliner from my room. Also, the walk is indoor for part of the way. The entire walk from bcv is outside.Just to go from your room to the skyliner is longer - not even including where you are dropped off

Sorry for butting in here, but based on this back and forth, I think that we can definitively say that the OP's title, at least as to transportation, is wrong. It's certainly not a "no brainer" which resort's transportation is better.
If a train leaves Chicago at 2 PM, travelling west at 100 miles per hour, and another train leaves Los Angeles at 3 PM travelling east at 120 miles per hour, how long will it take them to meet, and where?
It doesn't matter. It only matters that my resort is better and yours is dumb and your face is dumb.If a train leaves Chicago at 2 PM, travelling west at 100 miles per hour, and another train leaves Los Angeles at 3 PM travelling east at 120 miles per hour, how long will it take them to meet, and where?
See! It's always about the doggone math!If a train leaves Chicago at 2 PM, travelling west at 100 miles per hour, and another train leaves Los Angeles at 3 PM travelling east at 120 miles per hour, how long will it take them to meet, and where?
Question for the skyliner people - when going between Epcot and HS there is often a line in the transfer station. How do Riviera people get on if not that many people are getting off there? Do you have to wait for someone who is exiting, or do they intentionally run some cars empty to clear the line at Riviera?
The skyliner has always been a dealbreaker for us vs Beach Club, but if we are ever in a situation where we run out of BC points one year I might be willing to consider staying there given how much certain people seem to love it.
I was curious about this... 20 min is still a lot less than I've waited on busses! We did come back once at close from Epcot and did wait about 20 minutes to get on..even with the line being backed up almost to BCV.
