getting to MK

Just making sure I have this straight.

To get to MK from our hotel we can:
~if at POR or AoA, drive our car to TTC, shuttle from parking lot to TTC, ride a ferry or monorail to MK
~if at POR or AoA, take the bus to the bus depot at MK
~if we are at Poly, take the monorail or ferry to MK
~if BC, walk over to Epcot and take monorail
~if BC, take a bus

At any point at MK we can get on a monorail and then ride it to one of the monorail hotels or Epcot?

At the TTC there is a monorail to EPCOT. There is also a monorail that goes to the monorail resorts.

~if we are at Poly, take the monorail or ferry to MK - You can take the monorail or resort launch to the MK from the Polynesian. Or, you can walk to the TTC and take the monorail or the ferry to the MK.

~if BC, walk over to Epcot and take monorail - This would definitely be the long way of going about it, but it is doable. You'd have to enter through the international gateway, walk through part of World Showcase and Future World, then up to the monorail to the TTC. You would then have to take the express monorail or the ferry to the MK from the TTC.

~if BC, take a bus - YES

At any point at MK we can get on a monorail and then ride it to one of the monorail hotels or Epcot?
You can get the resort monorail at the MK to go to the monorail resorts. You can take the express monorail to the TTC then transfer to the Epcot monorail.

You will need a park hopper to do this, as you will have to go through Epcot to get to the monorail to the TTC. Then you will need to switch monorails at the TTC to get to the MK.

Going through Epcot requires the use of a ticket. If you don't have park hoppers , you would use a full day's ticket for the entrance (of course you'd have entrance to Epcot for the day).

Yes, we will have park hoppers. Not just for the reason of going through Epcot, but it makes our planning much easier and flexible.

Just to clarify, there are 3 separate monorail loops.

1. Resort Monorail. Runs Magic Kingdom to Contemporary to TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) to Poly to Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom).
2. Express Monorail. Runs from Magic Kingdom to TTC and back to Magic Kingdom.
3. Epcot Monorail. Runs from Epcot to TTC and back to Epcot.

So you can get on a monorail at MK and ride it to monorail hotel. But you can't get on a monorail at MK and ride it to Epcot. You need to get off at the TTC and transfer to the Epcot moonorail.
