Getting to Ft. Wilderness for Haunted Hayride

Hi! We're going to try and do a Haunted Hayride at Ft. Wilderness at the end of October. I've never been to Ft. Wilderness, and I have a few questions on getting there! I guess that the Haunted Hayride tickets go on sale each morning at the Kennel, and the actual hayride meets at Pioneer Hall. We're coming from the Contemporary, and we can take the boat to Ft. Wilderness.
How far is it from the dock to the Kennels??? Would it be better for us to take a bus from the MK to the front of Ft. Wilderness in the morning to get the tickets? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

The boat to FW then any internal FW bus that says OUTPOST, will get you to the kennels. To get back take any bus the says SETTLEMENT then walk to the dock. If there is a bus running from MK to FW it will take you to settlement so you would still need to transfer, the boat from Contemporary is really the best bet for you.
