Getting to Contemporary

We will be going to Chef Mickey's at 8:30AM, staying at Pop Century...any suggestions on the best way to get to the Contemporary? Is it easier to take the Magic Kingdom bus then walk to Contemporary or ride the monorail? Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

It is a fairly long walk to teh contemporary (much longer than i epected) the bus route is almost half way exactly if you walked to teh monorails or if you walked the other direction to the contemporary I would prob do th monorail since it would be quicker take the bus to MK then go to resort monorails contemporary is first stop... coming back i would walk since contemp is last stop...although the monorail is right there and the walk just to get out of teh main building an off contemp property is at least a 5 minute walk... I think we did the whole wlk in liek 15- 20 minutes....( i tthink)

I would walk to the contemporary, it is only a 5-10 minute walk unless you are toting little ones. The buses drop you off on that side of the MK anyway. Taking the monorail requires a walk past the gates and up the monorail ramp.

Another alternative is to ask the MK bus driver if they would drop you at CR. If it is before park opening and you are going early, they may do it. If there are others on the bus going to MK, then you will have to go to MK and walk or monorail.

I agree with Duds. Definitely walk from the MK bus station to the Contemporary. It is only about a seven minute walk. The walk up the ramp to the monorail is probably more than half the walk to the CR.
If the MK opens at 9am that day there will probably be a lot of people heading there so I doubt that the driver can drop you off at the CR. If you had an earlier reservation Disney provides early morning breakfast buses that start at 6:30am daily for the MK area and 7:00am for the rest of the World.

Both 3/25 & 26 the bus was at Pop at 630am each morning.
One morn it took me to the WL after dropping ppl off at the Contemp
Other morn I took bus to MK then monorailed to Poly
No problem at all with the Pop early morning buses!
