Getting to airport from Swan

How many people? Mears will transport you for around $17 per person. I'd expect good service since they seem to be putting passengers in the DME buses. A cab or towncar will cost around $50.

Oops. I should have mentioned there are 6 of us, 3 adults 3 children. (One in a carseat.)

Thanks!

I would go with a town car for 6 folks! At $17 a head Mears is going to be more expensive.

Taxi is another option, but make sure you get a mini van cab.

Cheapest is probably Mears, 17adult and 13 child 4-11 one way. You will leave for the aiport 3+ hours prior and make multiple stops.

Most efficient is a towncar, between 60-100 +tip one way depending on the company and the type of car you hire. You arrange your pick up time although they will make a suggestion usually 2 hours prior to fligh time and you will be the only passengers.

Any suggestions on towncar companies? I'm doing ALL of this SO late in the game. I spent a little too much time on other aspects of plannng.

We had a great experince using Prestige Town cars back in June. Very efficient and a nice driver (same driver on both ends of the trip). They were also one of the cheapest back in June and had a $5.00 coupon for booking online. They have since merged with Tiffany Town cars so I'm not sure they are still operating under both names.

No DME from the Swan. But Swan Mears passengers may be put on Disney Cruise Line buses and these buses occasionally have the DME color scheme.

Disney hints:

I know S/D doesn't participate with DME, I said they might be transported on a DME buses. DCL is now using DME to transport cruise guests from MCO to WDW. DME is using DCL buses as needed. A DCL cruise passenger is just as likely to be in a DME bus as a DCL bus going from MCO to WDW.

There has been several DISBOARD members who posted stopping at S/D on the way to on an EPCOT resort in a DME bus.

Mears is also using DME buses to transport non-DME guests.

Given the size of the family a towncar makes more sense.

we used DME when it first started from BWV to MCO. Only 5 total passengers and stopped at the Dolphin then the SWan and picked up no-one at either resort. Not sure if they still do this
