Getting from POP to Beach/Yacht Club

My 2 DS 7&5 will be going on the Albatross Pirate Cruise that leaves from the BC/YC Marina. What is the best way to get there from POP? I know I can take a bus from POP to Epcot, but will that be the front entrance or do they go to the IG also? Also, the kids need to be there by 9:15, how long will the travel time be? Thanks for your help!

If it were me, I would just take a taxi from Pop to either the Beach Club or the Yacht Club. The bus from Pop to Epcot will drop you off at the bus stops in front of Epcot and you will have to walk to the entrance, wait until the park opens at 9:00 to get in and then walk to the IG and then on to the marina at the Yacht & Beach. All of that will probably take close to an hour (maybe more). IMHO it would be well worth the $10 or $15 taxi fare to avoid all of that.

POP and YC/BC are really quite close to each other, so a cab shouldn't be too much. That's what I would do. You could take an early bus to MGM and then either walk to YC/BC Marina (about 15 mins.) or take a Friendship boat, but that could take closer to 30 minutes, but drops you right at the Marina.

...has anyone gone through Epcot to get to the cruise? I know travel time is longer, but I'm considering doing it that way just so our tickets will have gone through the turnstiles and I can go back into Epcot after dropping DD off to pick up fastpasses for Test Track. I've walked through Epcot before, through the IG, etc, but I've never been in a hurry. Is it possible to make it from Spaceship Earth to the YC marina in 15 minutes, walking quickly, pushing a stroller?

I could probably do it, but not with a stroller and not at a time of day when there were people around! You would have to be speedwalking. I think my best time from IG to SE was about 17 mins, but I was moving, and there weren't a lot of people around to 'get in my way'! It was an EMH morning and there were't many people in the WS area..only got to crowds when I got to SE area.
The big problem I would see is timing....if the park is opening at 9, they it would be tough to be at the Marina at 9:15, darn near impossible. If the park opens at 8, for EMH, then sure, it's doable.

If you weren't getting a cab, you'd be better off getting a bus to MGM and walking (which is what I'd do) or boating to the Y/B - instead of a bus to Epcot.

Hmm... I was just thinking. What if we took a taxi to the Beach Club arriving by 8:45, entered Epcot through the IG turnstiles at 9:00, then turned around and came right back out again? I could have DD to the YC marina by 9:15 with no problem and once she was off on her cruise I could head to Test Track for those fastpasses. That would work, no? The CMs at the turnstiles might think me crazy.

the CMs have no idea if you came from an Epcot resort, entered w/DD and then decided to bring DD back to the room and come back to EpCot yourself
