OK what are my choices from airport to hotel transportation?? How do I find info on the shuttles etc?? We are debating on renting a car or just shuttling??

thanks!

Another choice is Tiffany Towncars. It is my understanding that they will make the stop at the grocery store and there is no waiting for a shuttle bus. I think they also have a coupon on their website. We have 3 people in our party, and it was going to be about the same as Mears and we will get the car to ourselves and no waiting. The website is:

Hope it helps.

I've used both Mears and Tiffany towncars and both are very good companies. The good things about Mears: reasonable prices, easy to reserve in advance but also just as easy to get tickets at the airport. There are a couple of drawbacks to Mears though: can be long waits for shuttle, stops at several hotels add time, pickup for airport return is a very generous time window, so you will have to leave very early if you have a morning flight. (We had to leave at 4am for an 8am flight.)

Tiffany is, IMHO, a better choice if you have more than 2 people in your group. The price will then be comparable to Mears and you can go right to your hotel (unless you would like a grocery stop, which they will do.) The town cars are roomy, comfortable and spotlessly clean; drivers are courteous and careful. You'll still have to leave a couple of hours before your flight but because the car is picking up ONLY your party it won't be quite as early as with Mears, which has to make other stops.

Tiffany Towncar the only way to go. (IMO anyway :) )

We used Mears for our first 2 trips to WDW & it was very time consuming. We sat on a bus at the airport for at least a 1/2 hour waiting for the bus to fill up ( I don't think they wanted to drive a 1/2 empty bus.) Then we had to stop at a couple of different resorts before our own. Departing was a similar headache - had to leave the hotel several hours before our flight.

Then we tried Tiffany's & we loved it. For just the 2 of us it is slightly more expensive - but, I'll gladly pay another $20 for the comfort of a car vs. bus & the ability to get to my hotel an hour or so earlier than the shuttle busses. With our AP's that's another hour I can be at the MK! ;)

My MIL has been using Tiffany's as well - for her family of 5 it is actually cheaper to use Tiffany's than Mears. Hope this helps!

We are using Payless. We used them before & had excellent service. They provide a car seat for no extra fee. They also do not charge a "resort fee" of $9 that so many others charge.

I'd really advise using a towncar service vs. the Mears shuttle if you can afford it. Mears will get you safely to your hotel, however, they make other stops thus, it could add on to your travel time.

Check the transportation brd. There is lots of towncar feedback.

Thank you all for inspiring me to change from Mears to Tiffany! ;)

Last year was my first trip to Disney and we took Mears. While we stood in line (not really a line, more of a mob!) for half an hour then had to stop at another resort, it didn't bother me that much because I was so excited to be there. This year I think I will pamper myself with towncar service instead.

You've convinced me! Thanks again.

I would also recommend against Mears. We had a late arrival at the airport (9.30pm) and had to wait TWO hours for our shuttle, which then stopped at several hotels (including off-site hotels) before getting to the ASM at 1.30am. Complete disaster, especially since we were traveling with a 2 year old. Never again (that is the shuttle, not traveling with a 2 year old ;) )

We did Cartier from MCO to All-Stars and it was a lovely, comfortable, air-conditioned ride. We did a grocery stop also. Totally worth it.

:bounce: We used Yourride and it was great! We had 3 adults and 1 child with lots of luggage, got a van and there was not an extra charge. Also got a 30 minute grocery stop, no charge. They were at baggage claim to pick us up and were right on time for the trip back. I highly recommend them!;)

Its Cartier for us now - always. We tried Mears (what a nightmare) and it took 2 hours too for us to arrive at our hotel. Tiffany's drivers were efficient and prompt but either spoke little English or just spoke little. But Cartier is just perfect. You can sign up on line and get a confirmation within an hour. We've used them 3 times now. We request and get our favorite driver. They are a class operation.
