Getting Bibbidi Bobbidi reservations at the castle

Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for a while, and I love the info I've found here. My question is about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Cinderella's Castle. We're going for our second Disney trip ever in late September. So far, I've been unable to get reservations at the castle. I've called several times without luck, so we finally took a spot at DTD.

I've been thinking of waiting until after the "pay by" date has passed (meaning some people will have had their trips cancelled) to see if there is availability then. Is this a decent strategy? Anyone have better advice? I'm trying to get three appointments all together (my two girls, and my niece).

I don't blame you for wanting to do this experience for your girls. There is something very magical about doing this in the castle in the Magic Kingdom.

What I suggest is checking every single day between now and then. People cancel trips for a variety of reasons.

Finding 3 appointments all at once at this point is a long shot though, so please don't get their hopes up. Maybe take spots for 2 if they come up then keep checking and cancel the 2 if you don't find the 3rd.

While I do love the castle location, you might need to widen your search to include the Downtown Disney location if you really need 3 together. That's a pretty tall order at this point in the game.

That said, stranger things have happened. So don't give up!

Thanks so much, Mom2RTK. The last time I called, the lady said I probably wouldn't have luck until closer to our arrival date, so she suggested I stop calling . Maybe she'd spoken to me a few times, and was tired of it! Thanks!

LOL, don't listen to her. Keep calling. She shouldn't have said that. Your best bet is to call every day. And you don't need them all at the same exact time, just very close. So I'd start taking what you can get and see what you can put together.

For all you know someone else is doing the same thing and will cancel some times they don't need out of the blue.

We are trying to get a MK appt in mid September. WE have one, but it's at 6:40 and I just feel that is too late, so if nothing else comes open, we will cancel it.

So far I have called sporadically to check for cancellations and most of the CM's have been very pleasant to work with and keep encouraging me to keep trying. I figure after the pay deadline passes, I will start calling more frequently.

I called just a bit ago, and the lady was very nice. She explained that BBB at MK has a very low cancellation rate (less than 2%). She also said that with MNSSHP going on while we're there, it gets booked up super fast because kids are getting made up for the party. She was very kind, and told me not to give up. She did say, however, that most people won't cancel until they have to. So, she said the week before our trip will probably be the best time, and she told me to call multiple times a day during that week if I'm serious about it. So for now, I guess I'll keep calling regularly, then step it up as it gets closer. We'll see! (I did tell my girls they won't be getting bbb in the castle, so they won't be disappointed if we have to stick with our DTD appointment)
