Getting a OKW villa in Jan?

Does anybody have experience with getting a grand villa at OKW in January? Is it possible with a 7 month window or only an 11 month window?

Anything is possible. There have been a few reports of GV reservations at 7 months. Weekends would be more likely than weekdays, but even weekdays are a possibility. Cancellations also can open up dates, so even if you find nothing on the first call, keep trying.

I asked something similar yesterday....it seems to be exceedingly rare to get a GV any way but day by day at 11 months. But it can't hurt to try can it?

Is this a major ordeal - for example if I wanted a week in a GRand Villa (OKW)would someone using the 11 month window generally get all the days by the 7th day of calling - or have a lot of you had to wait for cancellations and had to piece your vacation together over long periods of time? I am considering rounding up my family and attempting this. Any advice would be a big help. Thanks.

Until last year, calling day by day to reserve another day was the ABSOLUTE ONLY way yo get a Grand VIlla. You will hear of one person claiming t ohave gotten in at the seven month window, but from someone who has called at 9:15 and had them all taken, I don't see how that was ever possible.

I always travel during the "low" seasons, not necersarily the lowest, but normally during the lowest two.

Last year that changed. I believe that many OKW owners had been held captive by the "Golden Handcuffs", they didn't travel anywhere else. These are first years that the passes have not been available are the first ones that there has been any chance at all to miss a day calling.

I think that this period right after the ending of the passes is going to be the best chance ever to get a GV at OKW with the seven month window.
