Hi All
Anyone have any experience with this. I sent an email to guest services about our stay at Caribbean beach which was not so pleasant. They amazingly responded by offering us a complimentary nights stay at a moderate resort. They told me they would email me back with a case identification number so I can redeem. Anyone have anything like this happen to them? And if so was it easy to apply. I didn’t expect anything out of them. I just wanted to let them know for future guests but they went above and beyond.

You can’t apply it to an existing reservation. You have to actually call a special line (they give you the number in the follow-up email). It is a separate reservation. You can have a second reservation for additional nights, even if it’s at the same resort. Also, they will let you add the dining plan to the comped reservation, but NOT tickets. You have to purchase tickets separately and link them to the reservation.

Happened to us and we got a 1 nights stay at a DVC resort (the issues happened at a DVC resort). Totally unexpected...and totally appreciated. I don't remember calling a separate number, but I just gave them the resolution number and they easily assisted me with a reservation without blinking an eye. We did add the dining plan (paid for our breakfast at Chef Mickeys with the family), and tacked the night on to an existing reservation we had offsite.

Several years ago we had a terrible experience at Caribbean Beach. When everything was over and done with my family received several nights comped at AOA. Disney called me to tell me what they were offering me and followed it up with a letter in the mail. The written letter had specific instructions about making my reservation and said that I would need to present it at the time of my stay. About 2 years later when we were ready to use it, I called the number in the letter and they handled everything. I took it with me on the trip in case they needed it but at that point, they were had already verified everything. I like to think it is in the file that Disney has on me :) I don't think I even had to reference the letter, I gave them my name and they knew what was offered.

Can you advise when you had the issue with Caribbean Beach and what it was? My family is staying there in February and it’s our first time at a moderate (we usually stay DVC or Dolphin). They booked too late for DVC (it’s President’s Day week) and my brother-in-law is excited about the gondolas. 😄

Thanks in advance!

We were in Jamaica building 46 and they were re paving the parking lot. There was tar everywhere it was extremely loud. We went to the front desk to ask to be moved and they were not having any of it. Also both mornings we were there they were out mowing the grass at 645 in the morning which woke us up. The main area of the resort is fun and we would def stay again just def pay for the preferred room.
