General chit chat thread.

I have spent this afternoon trying to sort out my DLRP shares. They have changed the bank on who deals with them in France & they have been rejecting my forms, however after several emails I think we may have solved the problems. Just need to mail them all off again:rolleyes:

Also have just been shopping round for a new ISA as I looked at the interest rate of my current one & its appalling:scared1: Just waiting for the forms to be sent. I just hope it doesn't take as long as last time to transfer as I had no access to my money for approx 2 months:headache:

So how many days is it till you have your first cocktail at wdw then?:rotfl:

Good morning, What is everyone up to today then?

I am off to post my exchange pressie in a bit then going to meet my sister to catch up as I haven't seen her since a few weeks before our holiday, we are going to have a coffee then have a look around a local retail park, argos, boots etc.

Thanks Claire, I hope he does well too.

I may be popping out with my Mam and Dad to a local small town for a wander round. I like looking in the Lakeland shop there. Other than that just thoroughly cleaned our bedroom, need to turn the heating off as it feels quite warm now.

Have a great times shopping today:goodvibes

I'm still going to the Gym a few times a week and the belt went in a notch this morning and I'm feeling so much more energetic during the day and sleeping more peacefully at night too:thumbsup2

Eldest DD has gone to the Primary Proms at the Royal Albert Hall today, lucky thing:goodvibes

I'm off to toddler group in a mo, followed by housework etc this afternoon - rock on!

I tried to book a December DLRP break online last night but couldn't get a quote out for my dates so I called them this morning and the first night we wanted is full:scared1: We're taking my Mum as her christmas present so don't have much choice of accomodation. I must admit we will be arriving so late that first night that we wouldn't have been taking advantage of the park ticket that day so we may just go back to the original plan and stay in a hotel nearby for the first night then check in at Disney early the next morning and get our park tickets.
I must admit we wanted to go on a christmassy holiday and after pricing up a Lapland short break (£5000+) we decided it was too expensive so DLRP with free dining is our altervative, can't say I'm too disappointed;)

Have a great day, whatever you're doing:)

Morning everyone:goodvibes I'm meeting up with my friend later this morning to hopefully sort out our trip to New York:woohoo:

Hoping to catch up with another friend for drinks this evening:thumbsup2

What dates were you looking at?
We went years ago at christmast time the last weekend before christmas, when my DD was only 3 and it was seriously busy.

What a lovely present, I hope you manage to get it sorted soon :thumbsup2

How exciting :)

Good Morning all

Not much going on over here today. I popped to town this morning in search of a black cardi for a wedding I'm going to a week on Saturday (I don't want to wear a jacket). I got a nice one from Debenhams, and I also picked up a few little Christmas gifts for my friend in the U.S.

Have a lovely day everyone :)

Andrea i hope you have had fun sorting out your trip :thumbsup2

Mandy sounds like you had a very productive morning ! :)

A three night trip to Lapland for 3 adults and 2 children was £5200:scared1: shocking isn't it:confused3 I think it was DH that wanted to go the most:lmao: he wanted to try and sneak a trip to try and see the northern lights too, but when I told him how much that was he nearly choked on his dinner:lmao:

That is odd, wouldn't of thought it would be booked up so early in the month on a weekday, Wed is the busiest weekday at DLRP however that is mainly because of day visitors. I would of expected the weekend to be more likely to be booked up.

DLRP is lovely at christmas, I know some people don't like the cold however I think the cold makes it feel more christmassy. A meal at Walts by the window while the snow is falling on mainstreet is wonderfull.

I hope you manage to get your trip sorted Joanne, it sounds fab. I have been tempted at going over for a couple of nights to see the christmas decs but Lee isn't having any of it. :headache:

My sister took her kids on a day trip to Lapland a few years ago, have you looked into that? It is a very long day but she said it was totally worth it, I think in total it cost about £1000 for 2 adults, 2 kids. I know its a lot of money for one day but they are only that age once.

Well I've just got back from shopping with my sister, I got quite a few christmas pressies and made a start with a few bits of christmas food. I've also just opened my exchange pressies so will upload some pics in a minute.

It sounds like you've had a good day Claire :thumbsup2 I look forward to seeing your Halloween gift :)

I have a new ticker. We have booked New York:woohoo:, ended up changing travel agents as we got a better deal. We are going for 5 nights in February, can't wait. Just need to get work to agree my leave, if not I will just remind them that we were told any holiday in our 1st year will be honoured:rolleyes1
