General chit chat thread.

I have a new ticker. We have booked New York:woohoo:, ended up changing travel agents as we got a better deal. We are going for 5 nights in February, can't wait. Just need to get work to agree my leave, if not I will just remind them that we were told any holiday in our 1st year will be honoured:rolleyes1

 That's great news

I hope you manage to get your trip sorted Joanne, it sounds fab. I have been tempted at going over for a couple of nights to see the christmas decs but Lee isn't having any of it. :headache:

My sister took her kids on a day trip to Lapland a few years ago, have you looked into that? It is a very long day but she said it was totally worth it, I think in total it cost about £1000 for 2 adults, 2 kids. I know its a lot of money for one day but they are only that age once.

Well I've just got back from shopping with my sister, I got quite a few christmas pressies and made a start with a few bits of christmas food. I've also just opened my exchange pressies so will upload some pics in a minute.

I did look at a day trip Claire but Richard didn't fancy it, I must say it's a very long day for a four year old. Nat went a couple of years ago with her Mum and Ellie and Matthew and said it was great for a day but Ellie and Matthew were quite a bit older and Poppy abso-bloomin-lutely hated the snow back in February and I just don't think she would cope for a day in those temps. If she went for a few I think we'd have more chance of her adjusting.
Perhaps a day trip next year:)

Glad you had a good day shopping:thumbsup2

:banana::banana: Great news - I've been to New York in Feb it was soooo cold, it was 2002 and I don't think I've been so cold since. Up the Empire State building at about minus 15 wind chill - pack your thermals Nikki - I'd go anytime of the year though, it's my fave city:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Think CP the new hard to get ADR, I couldn't get it for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. A bit disapointed as I wanted DD birthday meal there however booked storybook princesses instead. Managed to get everything else expect CP!

The Crystal Palace is closed from Jan 3rd to Feb 13th - is that when you were hoping to go Claire ? :)

That would explain it then, I'm going from the 12th of January:rotfl: I thought it was odd as I tried every day and nothing came up. I booked 1900 park fayre, SBP and Ohana breakfast so have plenty of character meals so DD shouldn't miss it.

Great choices, you're going to have a fab time :thumbsup2

I forgot Poppy was so young, actually I think my niece (who is the youngest of the two) was 5.5 so maybe next year, fingers crossed for you.

I would love to go there with kids. :cloud9:

Morning - Going for a coffee with DBF after I have taken DD to school and to the Disney store.

I forgot to say last night that I booked The Yachtsman Steak house for my birthday at WDW, I was a bit worried about going with just DD however I figured she is nearly 8 and loves dressing up and going somewhere nice for dinner.

Morning all. Not much going on here today, I have a ton of paperwork to go through so may do some of that, then if I have time later I may try and get another day on my tr done. :thumbsup2

We took her when she was 5 and she loved it, she has actually asked to go back. I was worrying would look odd going to a fine dining place alone with a child. :rotfl: I will just have to prepare myself for the disaproving looks if I dare to have a cocktail or glass of wine with my meal. :)

Morning....well yesterday I slipped over in the shower, whilst having plastic bags on my bad foot, so I ended up back at hospital having my foot redressed and a warning about being careful off the nurse. So today I have been threatened to not have a shower, or even move off the sofa haha...im in for a fun day....NOT!
