General chit chat thread.

Hope your having fun Jackie...packing & then repacking & then repacking again & well you get the idea.

Forget 'simple' - part of the hall ceiling has just fallen down!!! :headache:

 Oh dear! Anything to do with the workmen or have they not started yet?

I am going on placement next week in a nursery, eek, so nervous.

Though have also just booked flights for January so I can finally stay at DVC and for my birthday too. Going to go to DLRP in march with DBF instead as he said he would go then as won't be as cold.

Your placement will be fine.

Holiday sounds good too.

I have been quite busy lately, sorting house out from top to bottom, getting new windows and now getting a new kitchen. Picked one then hubbie totally changed his mind so had to go through whole process again. Replacement work to kitchen starts in November.

Also keeping my youngest on track with his uni work.

I am dreading the leadership side of it, and having to tell someone who has been working with kids longer than me to do things a different way. However that is what I have to do to pass the course.

im so tired !!! i keep waking up really early (3am this morning !! ) and im shattered now....ive got a few hours off this afternoon so at least i can sit and relax for a bit :rotfl2:

I'm sure you will be fine. It will probably take a little time to adjust to it:goodvibes

I have been in a baking mood, yesterday I made Snickers Muffins & today I have made a loaf of bread without the aid of a machine. Both came out well considering it was my 1st attempt at both:thumbsup2

probably getting ready for next week when you will be waking up at 4am in Florida :rotfl: We woke up at 4am for about 5 days on last years holiday!

Also need to get the hang of observations what a child is doing while they are doing it, have been practising with video clips and it is so hard. Though the cute babies have got me excited too. I feel like I am moving forward with my life now though and doing something positive.

Snicker Muffins sound so nice.:goodvibes

Lucky you, I desperately need a new kitchen, though I desperately need my holidays more :rotfl::rotfl:

Mmm, those muffins sound delish ::yes::

I've had a great morning. I popped to town this morning and bought some new jeans and some Crimbo pants from Asda :santa: and I also started getting some toiletries in for my New Year's holiday. Then when I got home I received my lovely gift from Karen

This afternoon I've got a bit of washing and ironing to do, then I'm going to colour my hair

Have a good afternoon everyone :)

Just decide on what type of leader you are, as long as you are not autocratic you should be fine especially if you suggest changes in a way that could improve things.

Mandy, we are tied down with youngest son keeping him on track for his uni course, we had planned to go away ourselves in November but the youngest really needs our guidance at the moment. The youngest had a bit of a bad year during his first year at uni and has now changed course. He goes to the local uni.

Nat, just a thought, are you having any glasses of wine on an evening? I know if I do I tend to wake up very early when I do, it is something to do with the blood sugars levels rising really quickly after the alcohol has gone out of your system.

:wizard: Good Luck next week Claire

:yay: It's so much fun to celebrate your birthday on holiday

I am so excited, and it is great not having long to wait. We will also be celebrating DD birthday as her birthday is two days after she gets back so I am going to book CP for her.

We love the Crystal Palace, I hope she has a great time. Where are you going to celebrate your birthday ? I'm off to O'Hanas for mine :stitch:

Ohana sounds good, I don't know where yet apart somewhere I can have a cocktail.:)

Thanks, I think he found the freedom a bit overwelming but hopefully this year he will keep on track.

Hope your son does well with uni this year Bev. :thumbsup2 My nephew has struggled a little in his first few weeks but I guess it's only natural at first until you've settled into your new home and made new friends. Luckily he is only about 90 mins away so my brother & SIL have been able to visit him last weekend.

Those snickers muffins sound fab Nikki. :)

Good luck with your placement Claire, I am sure you will do fine. Lucky you having two trips to plan! :cool1:

Sounds like you've had another fab day Mandy.

I was just the same Nat for about three weeks leading up to our trip. The night before I got up at 2am after going to bed at gone 12! :lmao:

I've been busy with laundry and cleaning this morning, think I will try and finish the next day on my trip report now before cooking the dinner.

O'Hanas = Lapu Lapu's :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl: It may turn out expensive for me , DD had one with just pine apple juice inside, most expensive pineapple juice ever!

I just booked AKV SV studio, with one night waitlisted which the CM said would most likely come through.

I am an idoit, I have just booked for the wrong day, need to now cancel the last day and rebook it for the first day.:rotfl:
