Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Brooklynn is quite the dancer! Hope her recital goes well tonight!

Oh, I really hope they leave Rapunzel's tower up. Hannah would love to see it!

I love the name Sparkly Glitter! Hannah has some interesting names for her animals too!

Great dancing video! Good thing Jill stopped filming some woman was undressing in the corner....

I love the video of Brooklyn dancing! She is such a star!:thumbsup2 I love it! It really is hard to resist wanting to dance on that stage! I wish I could have seen "Reepunzel"'s tower! It looked so pretty! Between that and some of those goodies from Karamel Kuche I would have been on :cloud9:

Thanks for the shot of the hunky waiters MeMom!;)

Michelle, sounds like your SIL's school does a stellar job feeding kids. With everyone's budgets shrinking, I have to marvel at this. Where does the funding come from?

MeMom, I can't believe you could pass up carmel corn. Me, even if I wasn't hungry or in the mood, I never could have walked away empty-handed. I'd get a tub "to share later." But with all my "quality checks" popcorn:: I'd have it empty by naptime. Well, whatever time I finished, it would feel like naptime.

Moved some suitcases today & smiled to think of you filling yours. So close!!! :cutie:

Michelle, sounds like your SIL's school does a stellar job feeding kids. With everyone's budgets shrinking, I have to marvel at this. Where does the funding come from?

I'm pretty sure they get federal funding for the summertime meals, almost all of their kids are on the free lunch program. The weekend backpacks are sponsored by a charitable organization.

That made me all teary- Just hearing the music from Italy and seeing Brooklyn dancing without a care in the world. Maybe it makes me miss when my kids were that age or just I need a vacation because I miss the world  Hopefully in the next week or so things will get less stressful around here.

Pat- thanks! I knew you would understand how much progress that is in 4 days.

4 days!!!!:worship: - those boys were ready and I am so glad your found the right instructor. I think you can watch now without cringing. :goodvibes

Dancing in Italy on the last day... bittersweet...thanks goodness you are going to be back there so soon!

I hope Kay wears an earpiece when she is getting lost in conversation on her way to work! Your such a good friend for helping her remember her point of orginal in conversation! :rotfl2:

Here's hoping this week flies by for you!

/
Since I decided I will NEVER get caught up on all the TR's I decided to just take it from here.:)

You may start back up on July 25th???? Oh my. Cody just had finals on Wed. & Thurs. so they got out on June 23rd.

I loved seeing all the F&GF pics. I missed it this year by a week. I am anxious to see it again in April. I love that Mickey garden stone. I may need that.:rolleyes1

I love the video of Brooklynn dancing in Italy.:cutie: The music was great & the dancing was even better!!

In less that a week you will be in Disney!! I will be following along on FB.

Congrats on your part time job. I hope it works out for you.

6 days! :cool1:

I let him know. I hope you all are able to see him.

I think if she actually had a 4 day week, she would learn to love it. Yes, fall clothes get pulled out early. I'm gonna have to do some shopping (or have my dad send some fall wardrobe up) before fall hits. I didn't need it in PR so I don't have it now.

I love reading about Kay's conversations. lol

All those caramel treats look delightful, i want some caramel now.

:) Brooklynn dancing in Italy. How'd her recital go yesterday?

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: at the conversation with Kay!!!

A little late to the one week party, so here:
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Brooklynn's dance was adorable!

I have decided that Atlanta traffic is busy all the time!!! 11 am, 1 pm, 5 pm, it's no difference! Good luck!!

So exciting! SINGLE DIGIT DANCE

Okay, now that i'm done celebrating for you :rotfl: I loved the video of Brooklyn! Too adorable!

Hurrah for the one week from today game!!!:yay: You girls must be getting excited!

Regarding Via, you heard correctly. For some reason, the pizza served at the takeout window is not the brick oven pizza you would get inside. :confused3

So excited for your trip!!

I really want to try that authentic pizza, so I guess we'll have to try to get an ADR sometime, then.

:cool1: WOOT WOOT it's the one week game!! LOVE the one week game :cool1:

That is a shame about the pizza at Via....maybe it doesn't keep well or something but still...I have heard good things about the pizza in the restaurant and of course the waiters LOL :rolleyes1

Umm passed on caramel corn :scared1: I think I'm bringing a few more gallon bags with me in October to take more home with me! Less fudge more caramel corn LOL!!!!!

I don't know why I didn't think about enjoying it later. We had plenty of snack credits left. I'll do better this time. I need to have some kind of nuts in mine, though, so I hope they have it with some kind of nuts.

I definitely want to try the real Via Napoli stuff. Maybe we can try it at Christmas. Hot pizza on a cool December night sounds good.

Was that Swan Lake? :goodvibes

You recognized it! Yay! :woohoo:
You would have appreciated last night's performance, which was Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. :wizard:

Yay for the "one week from today" game"! So exciting!
The Kay story is hilarious. I still do not know how UT's tuition hike and Willie Nelson have anything in common.:rotfl2:
Brooklyn is so cute showing off her moves!

Pat- thanks! I knew you would understand how much progress that is in 4 days.

Somehow Willie, tuition, car coils, and boils all flowed together in her world. :rotfl:

And we can't forget Sandy.
Still have no idea who Sandy is, but I'm a little afraid to get her started again. ;)

Hooray for one week!! :cool1::banana::yay:

And that was some super cute dancing. I don't know what it is about that "stage" but it seems to be impossible to resist a quick dance...or two...or ten!

My kids asked ME up there last time, DH somehow managed to avoid an invitation to dance but came up their anyway. So if anyone saw a family of lunatics cutting a rug in Italy during the first week of January this year...that was us. :rotfl2:

Brooklynn would crack up if I got up there and started dancing with her. I bet Bella will dance with her this time. :cutie:

Does your school stay open for the kids to eat during the summer MeMom? My SIL works at a school where almost all of the kids are on the free lunch program. They stay open all summer long through lunch time so that the kids can walk to school and at least have 2 meals a day. They also have a 'backpacks for kids' program during the school year where the kids get a backpack on Fridays filled with food for them to take home for the weekends.

How fun that you've started the 'one week from today' game!! :woohoo:

No, they don't, but it would be a happening place if they did. Our families are always in on anything that is free. I'm fine with that for those who are in need, but it aggravates me when they get free breakfast, lunch, field trips, backpacks and supplies, SSA clothes, and anything else, and they claim they can't buy their kids little things while they have their nails done, expensive jackets and tennis shoes, piercings and tattoos, and such. Our school does have an added free fruit/vegetable program for the kids. They get one fruit or vegetable at the end of every day. You can imagine that having all of your kids eating breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack must help them tremendously on their food bill. I'd just like to see them use their savings for more practical things than fancy nails and such, but that's just my opinion.

Yay for being down to one week!!!
I love the video of Brooklynn dancing in italy!! Break a Leg today, Brooklynn:banana::banana::banana:!! I miss having dance recitals, loved all the excitement of make-up and costumes!!!

Brooklynn loves putting that make-up on. She was looking quite lovely last night. :)

I looked at my countdown today.....I have 86 sleeps left.... you have only 6!!!! :thumbsup2

Which DTD hotel did you pick to stay at?
I've never really looked at any of them before.
So convienient to just cross the road and not have to find a parking spot or ride the bus.
I bet dinner is planned for EoS...;)

Cute video of Brooklynn dancing! :goodvibes

:rotfl2:....Kay is such a hoot!

:simba:Good Luck Brooklynn at your recital! You will be a great dancer! :simba:

I have 4 Tennessee sleeps, and 1 very short Alabama sleep. :cool1:

We had planned to stop in Perry, but then Jill wanted to push for a little further. As time went on, Jill and John decided we'd just push all the way and stay at a DTD hotel. We've wanted to do the research, anyway, on how it would feel to be off property. It's just for one night, but it will garner us a new experience.

I do recall last time we stayed off property for a night, though, that Brooklynn said, "What is this place?" when we pulled in. She knew it was not a Disney resort!

Jill has an Earl sandwich on her mind, I am sure. I have been entertaining the thought of trying the new Pollo Campero. You know I like to try all the new things. :thumbsup2

I was cracking up at the conversation with Kay, especially the fact that she had to ask you what she had been talking about at first! :lmao: My grandmother is kind of like that, only she just keeps on saying crazy things, knowing exactly what she is doing, and I can never remember exactly how it started. A couple of days ago, she called my mom to tell her that my uncle left a bundle from her on the porch, only she said "Whitey Bulger left you a bag on the porch!" I think this was the day after he was finally caught. Not sure if he is as well-known (infamous, really) in other areas as he is here, but it was hilarious that she said that. She really comes out with some of the craziest things.

I love the "one week from today" game! Hope Brooklynn's recital goes well!

I think Kay forgot that she was coming to my house at 4 to cut my hair. She'll realize it sometime this evening. She'll probably remember right in the middle of dealing with a patient, and then they'll get to hear a long story about how she forgot. ;)

The recital was very cute. The girls all did much better this time than in the Christmas show, since they were more used to it. The place that it was held at was so much nicer, too, which was good for the audience.

Brooklynn is quite the dancer! Hope her recital goes well tonight!

Oh, I really hope they leave Rapunzel's tower up. Hannah would love to see it!

I love the name Sparkly Glitter! Hannah has some interesting names for her animals too!

I bet we would get a lot of laughs out of watching those two converse together. I hope that happens someday when our paths cross at WDW or when you guys drive through Nashville ro whatever.

Great dancing video! Good thing Jill stopped filming some woman was undressing in the corner....

I did not notice. I will have to go back and look.

Another reason for the Via ADR. :)

We enjoyed our time at Epcot, but in the back of my mind I was burdened by the fact that we had to get in what we could and still make our Magical Express.

I'd get a tub "to share later." Moved some suitcases today & smiled to think of you filling yours. So close!!! :cutie:

I did some rearranging of my tootcase today. I am very pleased with how I have it now, so it will sit like that until Thursday morning. My last minute things - hair stuff, make-up, etc. - will go in an overnight bag. I am ready to roll!

I will get some caramel popcorn this time. Maybe Jill can put up a FB picture for those who like it so much. I am going to need the nuts, too, though. :)

It is true: Via Napoli does have gorgeous waiters!! I saw it for myself and thought "Wow, the DISers were right"

Didn't the caramel shop just smell delicious? Even sick, I could smell it's deliciousness. :cloud9:

Your one week from today sounds pretty wonderful. We're yet to make it to Crystal Palace, or to see Fantasmic again. I'll say what I say after every trip...next time!

I'm pretty sure they get federal funding for the summertime meals, almost all of their kids are on the free lunch program. The weekend backpacks are sponsored by a charitable organization.

Our kids get backpacks at the beginning of the year filled with supplies. I think we are at 97% free and reduced lunch, so we often have organizations coming in to give them free things like toothpaste and toothbrushes, books, supplies, and samples. At Christmas, Juvenile Court comes and does a whole Santa things and gives them all a toy, a book, and some snacks and drinks.

That made me all teary- Just hearing the music from Italy and seeing Brooklyn dancing without a care in the world. Maybe it makes me miss when my kids were that age or just I need a vacation because I miss the world  Hopefully in the next week or so things will get less stressful around here.

4 days!!!!:worship: - those boys were ready and I am so glad your found the right instructor. I think you can watch now without cringing. :goodvibes

I will send you a phone pic or two next week to transport you away from your stress, if it will help.

We've been friends for like 35 years or something crazy. It doesn't matter if we don't see each other for 3-4 months; we'll just pick up and start talking like we have been talking every day.

I think this week will fly by. I need to spend one morning doing some church camp stuff. I also have to go to the grocery store, but that will happen on Wednesday.

Since I decided I will NEVER get caught up on all the TR's I decided to just take it from here.:)

You may start back up on July 25th???? Oh my. Cody just had finals on Wed. & Thurs. so they got out on June 23rd.

Congrats on your part time job. I hope it works out for you.

I know I am going to miss so much while we're gone. I plan to get internet access at least once or twice while we're gone so that I can check in. It'll keep me from wandering around Pop when I wake up at 4 o'clock. ;)

When I get back from WDW, we're going to a wedding in Chattanooga. Then I have lots of camp stuff to do that week. I have to go to a CPR class on the 15th and 16th, and camp starts the 17th. So, from July1st to the 22nd, things will be at full speed. After camp, I will make time for relaxing before I have to start getting things ready for school.

I'm thinking the caramel-filled chocolate cookie might be good. :)

Yep, I better get to see Ed this time. He snubbed me last time! Jill, Brooklynn, and Kay saw him, but I was sitting out with Bella. I think he must have been on a break or something. Jill was dying for some Fastpasses, too. ;) That is her favorite ride. I might need him to go work at Soarin'.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: at the conversation with Kay!!!

A little late to the one week party, so here:
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Brooklynn's dance was adorable!

I have decided that Atlanta traffic is busy all the time!!! 11 am, 1 pm, 5 pm, it's no difference! Good luck!!

I drove through there at 3 a.m. and it was plenty busy. A cop almost hit me as he merged off a ramp. He didn't have lights on, but he was in some kind of a hurry. I do not like to drive on the interstate anyway, and I sure don't like to drive in unfamiliar territory with lots of traffic.

Okay, now that i'm done celebrating for you :rotfl: I loved the video of Brooklyn! Too adorable!

I had to take out a few dancers in order to stay under the limit here.

I do think I am getting just that excited, though. ::yes::
I was listening to the Magical Express movie this afternoon, and even though we are not flying, it made me so excited to be going again.

Well, I'll have to wear my nicest $3.00 t-shirt when I go in there, then, huh? :rotfl: I'm sure they are all far too young for me, but it will be nice to be waited on my a handsome young man, of course.

The caramel shop does smell good, for sure. I don't know why I didn't buy something. I guess I was really not into at the moment, because I can't explain why I didn't get one of those strawberries!

Every trip we do some old favorites and add something new or rarely done. It might be a new restaurant or a World Showcase movie we haven't seen in a long time or a snack we've never tried. After a while, you will get to it all. It takes a lot of trips, but you will have many wonderful trips ahead to do that.

With the Flower and Garden Festival comes music.

I hope we can go to WDW sometime during F&G when we do not have to give Epcot only part of a day. I'd like to focus two full days on F&G and the regular Epcot things, as well as hear some of the concerts. I would have enjoyed hearing the Ricky Nelson songs, as he was another of my past loves. ;)

Moving on to America.

Watch the face of a child when he/she colors. It is a sweet blessing to see.

Bella's masterpiece.

When Brooklynn came back, she needed to color a bear, too.

I hear ya! Frustrates my SIL to no end when a parent can afford a $4 pack of cigarettes, but can't get their kid some crayons :sad2:

Love the pictures from the Japanese Wal-Mart, as our Segway tour guide so affectionately called it, lol!

Dancing in Italy AND cute waiters??? You know how to start this girl's Monday morning off right! :rotfl: So much better than the article on Mastery Learning I am supposed to be reading for class later today.

Ready for your "Just Three More Days in Tennessee" pixie dust, MeMom? :lmao:

pixiedust:

It is getting so close!!! Are you excited?
I think Bella is so cute coloring her picture. Blake colors about like her. He scribbles more than anything. He wanted me to color his picture at VBS last night. He has little interest in coloring. He would rather put puzzles together any day. I made him do it though and it was a very cute picture. He can be my stubborn one.;)
