These are sooo cute!!! Little kids get the awesomest clothes!
I love looking at the Muppets merchandise! I didn't know they made Muppets Monopoly though! (Or we decided we weren't able to fit it in our suitcase and I forgot about it . Their stuff is always hilarious.
Jill really liked the little skirts and brought up a good point - you can have a special outfit without having to have the whole Princess costume and the sometimes uncomfortableness and hassle that comes with them.
You'll have to fill us in on Muppets Monopoly if you end up getting it.
I bet Kay's eyelashes looked beautiful!
TOT and me will never be friends...
Glad you decided to go ahead with the AK bathroom!
The print will be perfect in there!
I have to have those adorable Minnie & Mickey in pyjamas...they are so cute!
The Mickey and Pluto one must be new , I've never seen him before.
Adding that 40th bag to my ever growing list of 40th merchandise I want including that awesome snowglobe!
You will have plenty of 40th anniversary choices. I think I am going to get the hat and the ornament.
I'm excited about the bathroom change. The nice thing is that it's a relatively cheap change. The shower curtain was less than $20, and I got a rug and a new 'display' towel cheap. I'll be getting a cheap window curtain and a basket to put junk in. The most expensive thing in the room will be the $20 AKL print.
I wish we had a Khols, Target,
Disney Store...the list could go on and on...
I live very close to two of those and very far away from one.
If my grandmother wore t-shirts I'd be sure to get her this one. My dad used to call her and my grandfather (his in-laws) over the hill and she would say to him, "Well, it's better than the alternative." So true!
I can see my grandmother saying the same thing.
So glad you're getting your AK bathroom!! I am so jealous. My bathroom is lighthouses in the spring & summer & just boring brown & tan in the winter.
Love all the Muppet things. My DH has the Old..Better than Dead T Shirt. Muppets is his favorite thing at DHS.
They had one shower curtain that reminded me of yacht Club, but I called Jill, and she liked the AKL idea better. When I finally got the AKL curtain, after circling it numerous time on several trips

, the original three were still there, but all the Yacht Club ones were gone.
Kay sounds like a hoot!
Loved the tour through DHS shops. So many things and so little funds.
While looking for those glasses I found the 25th anniversary and the 100 years glasses.
They were also put up because they were glass and I was afraid they would break.
I moved things around and brought them lower in the cabinet but I think I want to keep them "new" looking so I will use them sparingly.
Kay is at least one hoot, and sometimes she's 3 or 4!

You'll have to meet her someday. Just be prepared to feel like you're in a pinball machine of conversation. It's best to just nod every once in a while. She'll get back to the original topic somewhere along the way, so just be patient.
Sadly, the mother of "that girl" is having to postpone her foray onto the elevator. She will be busy removing sand from hard to reach places.
Notice I used the word postpone -- I am already plotting -- it's a sickness, I tell you!
You just keep plotting, friend. We want to see you all on NYE!
Happy Sunday friends! Another very busy and stressful school week followed by championship swim meet yesterday has kept me away from the DIS. I'm glad to get some time here this morning!
I haven't been here much, but I'm trying to keep up among all this house stuff. I feel like I'm giving very quick responses and then running on to the next one just to keep up. This will be a super busy week around here, too.
Congratulations to Ben!
i LOVE the little girl skirts! I may have to steal that picture in the future to convince my parents that we all have to go back someday together because my niece would look really cute in that minnie skirt and my niece is the only grandchild who techincally has not been to WDW (she was in the womb at the time...)
I sure hope you get that family trip. We love going as a big group.
I say this too!
I want that t-shirt!!!
Fun day in HS so far! I want the t-shirt of Mickey looking out the doors on ToT and the t-shirt from Muppets!
Are you saving your Disney shopping pennies for all this fun stuff? I keep thinking I might have a little bit of money this summer, but then I end up spending it on something for the house.
My friend was wearing the white version of the purple shirt with "Walt Disney World" in all different colors yesterday. I love it! I ended up going to the really nice Disney store yesterday. Kailyn has become addicted to drinking tea, so she got a Cheshire cat mug for like three bucks. When you finish drinking, there's a Cheshire smile down the bottom. It's really cute! We also saw some other really cute mugs, plates, bowls, etc.
Ahh the Vinylmations. We saw those yesterday, too, but held off. Kailyn was really, really tempted by the "cutesters" though. I kept telling her to hold off till she was actually in Disney, and she brought up not being able to find them last year till our very last full day. I promised her that if she could not find them while actually in Disney, I would bring her back to the Disney store so she could get some.
I usually think it's more special to get something actually from WDW, unless there's a huge price difference.

We sure do miss having a Disney Store fix, though.
Just doing a little DISing while on my lunch break...
I'm trying out my new "rocket" mobile internet stick....so happy right now!
Now my lunches can be filled with a joyful escape to Disney on my netbook!
Technology is awesome!
I agree. It is very cool to see people's pictures and keep up with each other via FB and phone, etc. I try to escape at lunchtime, too.
Pat, i have those square glasses on a shelf at my dads. I picked them up from the thrift store for a dollar. I don't know how many times I'm gonna move again, so I left a lot of stuff at my dads for safe keeping.
I love going to the thrift store looking for Disney collectibles.
The video of Bella talking is so cute. I must have watched like 10+ times.
I watched that video several times, too.
Make sure your dad doesn't sell those glasses in a yard sale or anything.
Sickness! That is for sure!!! THANK GOODNESS their isn't a cure...
MEMOM.....
SO I made it through your whole TR last night, on the treadmill! It was perfect! SO here is what I can say now that I am caught up!
I love the idea of your new bathroom theme, and love that you will have one of those neat paintings to go in it! CUTE!!! I also just love all the renovations that you are doing, kitchen updates sound fabulous! Makes doing the everyday so much more inviting... and hardwood laminate is nice, shoot the whole project sounds great!!! Can't wait to see pictures!!! Wallpaper removal! You are in the big leagues! what color paints did you chose? Promise pictures!!!
As far as the TR pics, your photos of POP are amazing as always!! I can't get over how big that gift shop it.... practically a WOD right there! AND such goodies!!! I want a 40th pin, and MAYBE that tote! TOO cute!!! I am with Tracy and Christine... tie my hands together or I will be overly tempted!!! Always a hit your virtual shopping trips! ANd the most recent one, at DHS, oh some great goodies! WHAT a riot that Tshirt! AND those skirts absolutely adorable you were not kidding! I wish I could wear one
Your time at WLodge, also nice photos, it really is a pretty place, I agree I can't wait to learn more about the new POP addition, when is that opening?
ALSO, I know it is hard to see the MK so wrapped up with the barricades and the buildings covered, but I just know we are all going to be so thrilled come next summer when we start to get the glimpses of the new MK!!!! Even Mickey's new home on mainstreet looks neat! I think it is opening officially in a week!
Can't get any better than that. SUCH fun...
Enjoying every minute as always!!!
After digging through a few layers of trendy wallpaper and colors from my younger days, I opted to just go with an off-white this time. It's a Disney paint

called New Day Dew, so when you go to Home Depot, look it up. Jill said it was boring, but so am I, so it works.
Art of Animation is supposed to open in 2012, as far as I have read.
Magic Kingdom is kind of a mess right now, but for us, we know good things are coming. This is probably not the time to take a once in a lifetime trip, though.
Great TOT pics! I have a really hard time deciding, but I *think* that TOT may be my all time favorite Disney ride!
I liked the pics from Muppets also! I haven't been in a really long time, so I think its going to be a "must do" on my next trip.
MeMom- yay for your Animal Kingdom bathroom! It sounds wonderful. I'm sure we would all love to see some pictures when it is up and running! My bathroom currently has a generic Florida theme (palm trees mostly), maybe I should spruce it up with some Disney touches!
Yes, put some Disney touches in. It will make you smile!
My favorite rides in Disney World are probably Soarin', Kilimanjaro Safari, and Big Thunder Mountain, with Tower of Terror being possibly 4th. That's one ride from each park, as I just noticed. Of course, I like many things that are not rides, like shows and plays and trails and educational avenues and such. There is so much to like about WDW!
Loved the video of Bella naming the princesses - we're just getting to the stage with our youngest DD where she has lots of early words and it reminded me how quickly that wonderful phase comes and goes. I must remember to write a few down and get the video camera out soon!
Plus, I've added those cute little girl skirts to my 'WDW shopping wish list' - might never buy them but I'm sure we'll have a good look
You will regret it if you don't capture a few sweet moments on video. I watched that video of Bella a dozen times, I know, and everytime she said No White and smiled real big, I smiled, too.
Hi MeMom and family,
Thank you for all the lovely shopping pics. So many lovely items to choose from. I love the Mickey and Minnie dressed in Pluto and Marie outfits and slippers, the 'Tails' toys look really cute too and I have shown DH the Waldorf and Statler Muppets T-shirt, he would love to get it when we go in August.
So much to want, right?
Glad you are enjoying the shopping. There will be plenty to come.
I got one today I love it! Those shirts are so soft!
I have the square McDonald glasses too. They are so cute!
I'm glad they still had them for you.
You have at least one of everything Disney World has ever had, I have decided.
MeMom, I can't believe you took video while riding the Tower of Terror!!!! I would be holding on for dear life. Jeremy says he is going to ride it this summer---we will see!!! I would really like to give it a try so I am hoping he will.
Too cute about Bella putting Minnie with her friend Daisy--how precious.
Too funny about Kay's eyelashes!!! Did she ever take the glasses off to show them off?
I don't remember ever looking at Kay's eyes, and I am pretty sure I never heard/saw anyone stop her and comment on them during the entire trip.
Love ToT!
Kay's eyelashes looked awesome!!!!!
I promise I will tell her how many people loved her curly lashes.
I wish they would bring out some cute Miss Piggy shirts for ladies....I want one! I still have my old stuffed Miss Piggy from when I was a child but she's a little beaten up now....and I made my daddy duct tape a microphone to her hand that I had made out of aluminum foil....don't ask!
And I think I may also need that Mickey 40th anniversary snow globe...thanks for the photo, I promise he's not drowning!
I can totally picture and aluminum foil microphone duct taped to a Miss Piggy. Sounds like our house when the kids were growing up. You would have fit right in around here.
Anything in a snow globe is subject to a horrifying death, and I will have no part of it.
Great shopping pics!!!
I have a small update on our trip - I am not sure if I posted about it before. My husband has been having trouble getting his leave signed off work for our 3-week trip in August. His boss approved it, but only verbally, then some other stuff has gone on at his work and he has withdrawn the approval. He has tried to fight them hard on it, but no luck. So sadly we have had to rebook his flights and he now flies out a week after Toby and I. He insisted we still came, plus we couldn't afford to change ALL our flights - so Toby and I will be Daddy-less and Husband-less for a week of our trip, good job I have my parents and sisters family around to help me out.
I am really really sad about it, but we can't change it and if we dwell on it, we'll feel worse. I just keep thinking about how that first week will be even more exciting as at the end of it - we'll be fetching him from the airport and we'll be together again.
Joo xxx
Sorry he will miss out, but you guys will still have an absolute blast. It's nice that you have family to help. Are you guys planning a Mom and Dad only meal when he gets there while the family watches Toby?

A very busy week ahead for me. This house is going to see big changes this week, and I have to have it party ready by Saturday. I should take Friday off to get it in order. I don't take off very often, pretty much only for Disney trips, but depending on when the floor gets finished, I might have to in order to get all the furniture put back and everything in the house back to where it belongs. Right now, we still have things stuffed into the two empty rooms. At least the painting is done.
Have a Magnificent Monday, friends!
