Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Love the videos...I feel the magic and I want to be there right now!

What a beautiful video on the boat of the palm trees swaying infront of that gorgeous colored sky.

Do you know that I've never been to WL..so I always enjoy all of your pics from there.

Hmmmn...maybe we should try Roaring Forks in September.
I need to go check out the menu.

I'm going to make an ADR for Whispering Canyon...just in case we decide to do the regular DP instead of QS.
I'm still on the fence with that decision.

It must make you so happy to watch Trent with the girls...he is so good with them.

I bet it was a great evening just hanging out and catching up.

The boat ride to WL is so nice.

There's not a lot of variety at Roaring Fork, but if you don't have an ADR at Whispering Canyon or Artist Point, you still can go over and eat and sit outside in the beauty of the lodge.

Trent loves Whispering Canyon. It is among his top three places to eat. And yes, he adores those girls.

Love the videos Aaahhh that one of the palm trees with the sunset on the way to WL I want to be there RIGHT NOW!!

So cute of Bella saying "Geen Yight". When I saw the title of the TR I thought it was a Bella saying somewhere along the way.

Yay you have a painter arriving tomorrow!!

That area with the palm trees when you pull away from the dock is beautiful and peaceful.

The painter should be here in a couple of hours.

Yes it was Especially with Kazin in the car Josh, Kazin, and I were all in the back seat, with Josh in the middle. He was singing some random song he made up all the way there. Any time Josh leaned forward, Kazin looked at me from behind Josh's back and said "Hi Christine!" It was the first time he's matched my face to my name. He says my name but usually Josh will say something like "say hi to Christine." But yesterday he said it on his own And he kept pointing to Josh and said "This is Daddy" and pointing to Josh's various body parts. "Daddy's nose," "Daddy's head," etc.

I have almost that exact same picture

It was before Trent got there unfortunately! I would've loved to meet him but we didn't want to miss our reservation. But that was a very fun DIS meet I wish we had remembered the picture! I can't believe we all forgot

I also forgot to take a picture with Debbie when we met at Pop. I'm failing in my old age. ;)

Aww the pics of Trent and the girls are sweet. I enjoyed watching the videos, especially the boat ride to WL. For my next trip to WDW I am going to try and make it at least 6-7 days, so I can do more resort hopping and finally visit WL.

Resort hopping is one of my favorite things to do. Each resort has its own 'feel', and I love to take pictures of the different architecture, landscaping, and decor.

Great update MeMom! I love not only seeing your great pictures, but the videos with the sounds makes it almost feel like your there.

I like that my camera has that video feature so that I can get 30-60 second clips of the sounds and the movement. Now we just need the smells!

just over six months.....

So cute!

That fountain will always hold a special place in my heart!

Oh, and I forgot to quote it but the picture of the girls sleeping in their strollers made me saw "awwwwww" out loud.

You have done a good job of holding out, but you will probably be busting with excitement in about another three months. It will be so, so special to take Seth to the place you love so much.

The girls were done for the night in that picture.

I love these TR's....I came home from work and felt like I came home and went to MK and WL! I really need to head to WL on the next trip! I haven't been there in ages (except for lunch on the Backstage Magic tour last April but there was no time to wander) and I want everything you photographed in the gift shop! I could also make a few wishes in the lucky fountain and rub Humphrey's lucky nose! I'm glad you guys were able to have a nice family night together!

Just what I like to hear - I want you to feel like you are almost there when you see the pictures. :thumbsup2

Your pictures really make me feel as though I am there. I just got home early this evening and I'm already sad. I think i'm going to price out a trip for Creighton's birthday. He is a halloween baby and I think that MNSSHP is just fitting.

Bella is too cute with her "geen yight". How old is she now?

Poor Brooklynn and her toilet incident. But good going on the all the goodies you received!

Bella will be two in April.

A birthday trip sounds great, of course! MNSSHP is awesome!

All caught up! OMG poor Brooklynn! It sounds like she handled the toilet incident like a champ I hate the turbo flushers too, they always flush too quickly!

All the flowers inside and outside the MK look amazing, even though there's so much construction going on.

What a lovely family night at the WL. Definitely one of the most beautiful Disney resorts. I'm going to have a few wishes to make when we visit there in June! (none baby related lol)

Hope Aunt Joan is getting better!!

Joan had her plastic surgery. They are going to evaluate her progress on Monday to decide when she can go home.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to stay for a week at Wilderness Lodge and sit out in the peacefulness every night after coming in from the park craziness?

We haven't been over to WL for a while although we always find time to ride the boat to Ft W for some quiet time. I've popped WL onto my list for August because I read somewhere there's a trail we can take between the two?

Taking that walk between the two is on my 'to do' list, actually. I haven't gotten to it yet, but eventually, I will. If you get to it before I do, take plenty of pictures.

Hey there

Loving the shopping pictures - so tempted to go online and buy heaps of things but the credit card would not appreciate it!!!

The pics of those two beautiful girls sound asleep in their strollers is just gorgeous - dreaming about their lovely day and dinner with Trent.

Hows Aunty Joan - hope she is doing okay.

Joan's daughter, Kellye, said she had a pretty painful time for a while on Thursday night, but after pain medicine, she did okay. I hate to think about her laying there in pain.

We need magical credit cards that have no limit.
And no payments. :thumbsup2

Sunday morning.
Picture yourself walking around in a somewhat dark and very quiet Pop Century.
I won't do much talking, since this is a quiet place early in the morning.

I thought Kent McCord was so handsome. He looks like he's serious about getting a bad guy.

Just for Jackie and Connor.

IMG_0667.jpg

A very nice place to wait with the kids while checking in.

IMG_0662.jpg

It's a little less fun when you are waiting with the kids when leaving.

Did you see me in the glass trying to get the child's eye view? ;)

I grabbed some brochures to take back home for friends who will be going later in the year.

Vey nice shopping opportunities found here.

That's it for this morning. I have things to get done before the painter gets here. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Gotta love the prices on that menu. I could really go for a 10 cent root beer float.
I really enjoy your early morning walks. I always intend to do them myself but usually can't make myself get up and out.

Happy painting today! :artist: (smiley is not the right painter but he will do)

I hope Aunt Joan is feeling better today. Glad she might get to go home soon.

Good Morning POP Century....you look great! ::yes::

I so enjoy our morning strolls around the resorts.
I'll be quiet too.... just looking....no talking...:tiptoe:

Are there many people up and walking around with you at that time of the morning?

I wish I was up that early but I'm sleeping right until that phone rings with sweet Mickey or whomever else calls to wake us up.
Love that little magical Disney touch in the morning.

Your pics are wonderful...really feels like I am there.

I like the pics of the shadow boxes, I've never gotten very good results
when I've taken them myself.

Have a fun day! One step closer to that new kitchen! :goodvibes

I should have taken notes while I was reading since you have done so many updates in the last few days!

I am super jealous of your hardwood laminate you are getting in the kitchen! If I could I would hardwood the entire house! Somehow, though, every time it comes down to home improvements or a Disney trip, Disney wins. ;)

Poor Brooklyn with her restroom incident. :(

Love all the new Small World merchandise! So cute!

That picture of Frontierland had me twitching! I swear, I think it is the hottest, most crowded place in all of Disney! :scared:

Yeay for Bubby arriving!!! It always makes me smile to see him loving on his girls!

I perked right up when I saw the Star Wars pez! So many I could include in the collection!

/
I really enjoyed your morning walk through POP! I chuckled to myself when I saw the rabbit picture. When it is a POP bunny I find it to be cute, but if it was is my garden I would be having a fit!

I am so excited that you have the opportunity to freshen up some things in your home! I think it is neat that you went with a Disney color for paint.

We are having a 40th birthday party for my DH tonight. Please wish me luck! I know that it is just friends and family and they don't have big expectations, but this is the biggest party I have ever hosted.

Have a great weekend!

I really enjoyed the WL pictures. I am ready to leave right now! Just 8 days to wait though. I look forward to that relaxing boat ride to MK.

The pictures with Trent and the girls always warms my heart. You can see how much he loves his nieces!

We just booked a family trip for late September and we are staying at Pop Century. I think the kids are going to love it there!

I love those early morning walk pictures!:goodvibes They really really make me wish I was a morning person and able to wake up before 8am without wanting to pulling my hair out! Even the duck was still asleep MeMom!! Every trip I tell myself, 'I'm gonna get up early and walk around and take pictures like MeMom and see everything' - but I never do! So...thanks for sharing yours!:thumbsup2

I really enjoy your early morning walks. I always intend to do them myself but usually can't make myself get up and out.

I'd probably overdose on 10 cent rootbeer floats, though.

I get up naturally, for whatever reason. No matter how late I stay up, I can only sleep 3-4 hours at a stretch.

Happy painting today! (smiley is not the right painter but he will do)

I hope Aunt Joan is feeling better today. Glad she might get to go home soon.

Pretty much the only people up early are the CM's who are busy at work cleaning and stocking and landscaping and all.

It's hard not to get light reflections when taking pictures of the shadowboxes.

The wallpaper has been peeled off the walls, and the holes have been patched. I don't smell paint yet, but that's probably going to be the easy part compared to what he's had to do so far.

Disney gets my money, too, but this time I was fortunate enough to have enough to pay half of the trip and be able to do the housework. I still have to pay the other half of the trip, so I will be working on saving that from now until July.

I thought you and Connor might like the Star Wars toys. I didn't try to name them. ;)

Adam 12 - Ah the memories.

2-11 in progress. I think that was a robbery.
Yep, that was a long time back, but I can clearly remember the feeling of being in love.

I won't be so ashamed to have people over here now that I am getting some things done. That feels really good.

He is crazy about those girls. They are silly together.

The kids will love the kiddie pool. Even if they can swim in the big pools, the kiddie pool is still a lot of fun to run around in without you having to be in the water with them.

I'm glad to get the pictures for you while you sleep. I don't like being up and just sitting in the room, so I take off for a walk as soon as I think it's late enough to not be too weird. :goodvibes

My painter was supposed to be here at 7. He got here at 7:37. He has pulled the wallpaper off and patched two holes in the hallway walls. Painting is about to begin.

I had to go pick up some drywall for him.
And some drywall 'mud'.
And some drywall tape.
And a six inch.
A six inch what, I wondered.
A six inch scraper thingy. (Not what he called it.)

I went to Home Depot.
I was there with all the men in hats.
And dirty boots.
And trucks.

They knew what they were doing.

I had my list. :)

I think that's where I could find my Prince Charming, though.
I like those rugged guys who are handy with fixing things.

Unfortunately, all of the ones that were there this morning were too short.
Or too bearded.
That was the ones I saw when I looked up from my list.

I'm pretty sure none of them were interested in me, though,
all prettied up in drywall dust. :upsidedow

It's okay.
I don't think my particular Prince Charming was there today anyway.

After I brought the drywall and the tape and the mud and the scraper thingy back, I went looking for bathroom things.
I think it might be time to change the Wilderness Lodge bathroom into another resort.
I found two choices I kind of liked.
One was Yacht Club.
One was Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I sent Jill pictures of both.
She likes AKL.

I asked her if it would be too weird to add yet another resort to the house.
You recall my den is OKW/Beach Club/CBR-ish.
The kitchen is WL.
My bedroom is Polynesian.
An AKL bathroom might just be tooooo much.

Jill said not to worry.
I had passed weird a while back. :sad2:

I might go for it.
We'll see.
Right now, my house looks like Early American Junkyard, so I will wait until it is put back together, and then I'll decide about the AKL or Yacht Club thing.

Hope you are all having a great Saturday.

I talked to Anita earlier.
I think she is going to make it through the day. :goodvibes

I think many of us have touches of Disney throughout the house....some more than others :rolleyes1 I may be one of them  It makes us happy and brings a smile to our faces :goodvibes

I am torn between the pink or the blue mug. They will have to battle.

I love all of the 40th merchandise....I can't wait to see it in person and I am terrified at what I may end up buying!! :scared1: I will be trying to exhibit some self control. Well I could hold back in May and then if I really still wanted something then I can get it in October. ;)

How exciting that you are redoing (or repurposing as they say on HGTV ;)) your kitchen. I have been putting off my bathroom and kitchen for so long. I have lived in my house for 9 years and those are really the only rooms I haven't made "my own." Someday.....:)

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Maybe you'll have another side trip to Home Depot again today :)

Tracy

I love your early morning POP pictures. I was there asleep near the computer pool that morning! I am too lazy to be out there that early taking pictures. My son had a lot of fun in that computer pool that trip.

I hope your home improvements turn out just the way you want.

Thought I'd posted a reply earlier but apparently not. Probably some crisis with the girls way laid me.

Yay for Bubby arriving! I know the rats were just as excited to see him as he was them. Enjoyed the boat ride over to WL. :lovestruc Once again, you got some really cool early morning pictures at Pop. I loved watching Adam-12!

Sounds like a productive day. Hope the painting got done and at least you didn't do anything hurtful to yourself like I did today. :lmao:

No Prince Charming found at Home Depot huh???:)

I bet a AKL bathroom would be great!!

DH & I went footwear shopping today & he got 2 new pair of sneakers & I got some new KEEN sandals:banana: Everyone on these boards raves about them. I wore them in the house for a little while & they are very comfy!!

Oh ya also got a new toy-a Kodak Playsport video camera. It is the size of a cell phone. Amazing. It was on sale at Best Buy & also comes highly recommended on these boards. I will need to shoot some video of the cat or something to play with it before our trip.

Hope your kitchen renovations are going well.

Love your early morning walk pics:cloud9: I am never that up early either but I am glad you are because I really enjoy your walks:goodvibes.

Well not that you asked, but I'll add my 2 cents.... I say it is your house and it should be a reflection of YOU! It should be full of things that make you happy to look at and tell the story of your life. I wouldn't give a rippin' flip if anyone who came in my house thought I was completely nuts or not! I say GO FOR IT and do it up just like you want! :thumbsup2 Now for my 2 cents worth on the resort..... (again, not that you asked :rolleyes1) but I think AKL is perfect. You all seem to really love AK with all of its critters and cool details, so that seems like the perfect choice to me. I can't wait to see some pictures when it is all done!!! :cool1:

Can't wait intell Aug. I love pop.

We do, too, and it'll be all alive and happy again when we get there next time. :goodvibes

Tracy

Tell me about your Disney stuff. Maybe I'll feel more secure in doing something. I'm not so much on putting a bunch of Mickey stuff out, but I do love the resort themes, so that's kind of a way to have Disney around without it slapping people in the face. In the den, there is the Mickey ears picture and a picture that has the parks sandpails. In the kitchen, a Wilderness Lodge throw and the small Mercantile totem pole. In my room, a Mickey that Jill bought me (a Jim Shore one) and some odds and ends on a junk shelf.

"Think" is the operative word there!

The pictures I have seen have been beautiful and fun. :)

I love your early morning POP pictures. I was there asleep near the computer pool that morning! I am too lazy to be out there that early taking pictures. My son had a lot of fun in that computer pool that trip.

I hope your home improvements turn out just the way you want.

I didn't know where you guys were staying. After we saw you at the Bowling Pin Pool, I figured you were over there.

The house is in a big upheaval right now, but I know the mess will be worth it in a couple of weeks.

Thought I'd posted a reply earlier but apparently not. Probably some crisis with the girls way laid me.

Yay for Bubby arriving! I know the rats were just as excited to see him as he was them. Enjoyed the boat ride over to WL. Once again, you got some really cool early morning pictures at Pop. I loved watching Adam-12!

Yes, they were excited to see him. They run to him when they see him.

Adam-12 was a good show. Are there any good, clean 1/2 hour shows on any more?

Sounds like a productive day. Hope the painting got done and at least you didn't do anything hurtful to yourself like I did today.

We pulled wallpaper and pulled wallpaper and pulled wallpaper. Then we cleaned it off the floor. He'll be back tomorrow to hopefully finish!

Love your early morning walk pics I am never that up early either but I am glad you are because I really enjoy your walks.

Everybody raves about the Tevas and the Keens. You can let us know after you have worn them for a while. Comfortable shoes are so important for trips, especially.

You'll have to share some video, too. I am interested in seeing how that works out.

I was hoping he'd be able to do it all today, but peeling off layers of wallpaper has been a chore.

Well not that you asked, but I'll add my 2 cents.... I say it is your house and it should be a reflection of YOU! I don't think that one little shower curtain that reminded me of AKL has any better supporter than you! We do love AK, and AKL has a special place in my heart after Jill took me on that Mother's Day trip, of course. We'll have to see how the money plays out. It may have to stay Wilderness Lodge for now and change to something else later. I paid half the trip off, as well as the new stove and dryer, and I still have to pay the painter and the floor & tub guy. I'd like to get a screen door for the back door, too, since the old one fell apart. A storm door is a lot more than a shower curtain, though. Aaargh, there are just too many things going on right now! :headache:
