Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Man, I go away to Tennessee for a week and come back to see you've started and are now on pge 22. All caught up now and can't wait for more! :) Poor Brooklyn withthe toilet! I had one that wouldn't stop flushing, not near as bad as Brooklyn's incident.

WL is on my list of resorts to visit and eat at.

I love looking at the details of everything I didn't pay attention to when I worked at Pop. I don't think I ever took the time to stop and really enjoy the shadowboxes.

Those menu prices seem like a dream, a t-bone steak for 50 cents??? That would have been the life. lol :cloud9:

MeMom, you had me cracking up at your Home Depot adventure. :rotfl:I think a AKL bathroom would be a perfect addition. When we own our own home, I would love to have Disney touches all over the house. They will have to be subtle, since the boyfriend (future husband one day) thinks I go Disney overboard.

Those Valentine pins are so cute.

Great photos! If I could fill my kitchen with Disney housewares items, I think that would make me ridiculously thrilled. Right now I'm attempting to add in a Mickey head bathroom rug...

If I had two kitchens, I could have my Wilderness Lodge kitchen and an all out fun Mickey kitchen.

You are not weird! I'm sure we all have various Disney items around the house. Go for it!!! I think it sounds awesome!

Home Depot could indeed be a good meeting place. You could ask potential prospects for some help with your list. "Excuse me sir, do you know what a scraper thingy is?"

I always get such fun shopping ideas when checking in with you. This time the 40th anniversary magnet in the shape of the old paper tickets catches my eye. I remember having those! Can you imagine if we had to pull out a ticket every time we wanted to ride something now?

Have a great Sunday! I saw some of Anita's pictures on FB - looks like it was a lovely day!

I might just do it after the guys get finished with all of the work. The shower curtain is less than $20, so that wouldn't be an issue, but then I'd have to have new curtains for the one window and a new towel for 'display' and maybe a picture straight from Ziwadi.....

I've gotta think about this. :upsidedow

I remember the tickets, too. I think the first one we got was for seven tickets. It's been a looong time ago, though, so I can't be sure about that.

I was cracking up over your recounting of your Home Depot trip! There is definitely something to be said about finding a guy who could do home improvement stuff. He would be very nice to have around.

I think an AKL bathroom would be perfect -- of course, I might be biased because our bedroom and bathroom are definitely AKL-themed.

And tall, Jackie. For me, he's gotta be tall. ;)

So if I need an AK fix, I can either go to the Nashville Zoo or come down and visit your house, right?

....so funny how you described the trip to Home Depot!
I never noticed all the rugged handy men before...I'm too busy roaming around like a lost puppy.
I get what I neeed and get out. (I do love the smell of all the wood. )

My DMom on the other hand could be in there for hours an hours.
I have to put a time limit on her sometimes if we are in a hurry...
The Mickey head paint chips do make the going in there more fun.

Glad the wallpaper part is done. I've heard that is a tough job.

I vote for the AK bathroom too! Go for it ....you know the girls would love it!

Awww, DIS shopping on a Sunday morning....makes getting ready for work a little easier.

I love the 40th Christmas ornament and the tees!

I need to try and get one of those 2011 notebooks before I go. The pen set is cool too!

I don't have any of the kitchen stuff except the Mickey egg thingy. (a poacher maybe?)

I just want to thank you again for posting all these great pics of merchandise!

It brings me so much joy to follow your TR's.

Arrr...off to work I go.
The flu I had middle week has turned into a head cold now....just great!

Everyone around here is having sinus issues. The trees are blooming everywhere with beautiful colors, but it wreaks havoc on the sinuses.

Glad you enjoyed the shopping trip this a.m. :thumbsup2

Cracking up at your trip to Home Depot. I could see how a handy man would be useful to have around the house. I still have a hole in the wall by the garage that Ben was going to fix before the kids were born....almost 6 years ago.

Loving the Pop pictures and the shopping pictures...I've started a shopping list...could get me in trouble.

I have to confess I'm working real hard trying to convince Ben we should stay at Pop this summer instead of off sight....but I know it will come down to $. Your pictures really have me dreaming of Pop.

Well, tell Ben with the money he's saved from not fixing the wall, you can stay at Pop Century on your trip. :rolleyes1

Then double punch him with saying you'd be willing to cut back a little on the shopping while you're there. :goodvibes

I hope your Aunt Joan is on her way to a speedy recovery!

Love your Pop photos. Those Mickey kitchen tools are just too cute. If I cooked, I'd definitely buy some.

They are going to check the wound tomorrow and see when she can go home. She will have some home health care for a little while. Dawn said they pretty much told them the first day they weren't sure they would be able to save the leg, so anything better than that is a good thing. ::yes::

Add me to the list for the ticket magnets.

Looks like they put up building right by the bridge. If they already had the check in desk, food court gift shop building up I wonder if those are rooms?

I guess we shall wait and see.

Maybe we can tell better in July what the buildings are all about. I hope they open the bridge, but since they'll officially be two different resorts now, they probably won't.

I finally made it to your new TR! Only 21 pages late, but I'm here! I just spent 9 days in the hospital with a nasty intestinal bacterial infection. I'm trying to get healthy enough for our trip to FL this coming Saturday with an overnight stay at POP on Sunday! We're visiting MK just for the day on Sunday and DD on Monday before returning to my brother's place in Tampa on Tuesday. We have to travel far for my kids to see their Uncle too!

Loving the new TR! Can't wait to meet all of you in the MK on Oct 1st! I'm walking/running in the F&W 5K (just like punkin!) so I hope to still be there in time!

So glad you are better! You deserve a Disney trip as a reward. :thumbsup2

We'll be around all day on the 1st, so if we don't hook up in the morning, we'll find everybody a little later. Maybe we could plan an ice cream meet or a parade meet or something. We'll figure out something that works. Will you have hoppers? You could come to Epcot to ride Soarin' and/or Nemo with us.

Tinker Bell has red eyes. Freaky.

That's your girl. Didn't they consult you about her PR stuff?

Sadly, nothing. I was going to look for Vinylmations and I saw a couple of cute shirts, but I left without buying anything. I did decide that for my birthday, I want to start a charm bracelet, and there are some really, really cute Disney charms and beads, so I included some links to those when I emailed my mom some ideas.

I always love your shopping and early morning pictures. I can't wait to see the progress on the suites when you go back this summer. We will hopefully be going back next year, so I am really excited to see them for myself!

And soon, we'll be able to do more than stalk from across the pond. We can actually stay there!

ok...I wouldn't eat those chocolates, but I want all of the boxes! I suppose I could take photos of them and they could be a fun photo collage in the kitchen! And I love the picture with Imagination Movers on the TV! I always have that going when I'm getting ready in the mornings on my trips! Yes, even with no children around. There's one of them I think is rather handsome...

I guess I could just head to Home Depot to look for guys! Last year when we were doing the renovations on the house I went in there several times with lists and had no idea what the things on it were! They are very helpful there! But I didn't find a prince charming there either. I love the idea of having every room in the house themed after a Disney resort! If my family would let me get away with it, that's what I would do!

Maybe Home Depot could set up some kind of dating connection.

Love those measuring spoons. May need to bring some home with me in May.

I started a PTR (link in my sig). Would love to have you join me!

I did just that.

Well, it was your first day. My brain never works quite right on my first day But it was my 4th day, so I don't know what my excuse was

Those mugs never appeared at WL when I was there We have 4 of the old mugs now I think I'll make good use of them during my 25 minute commute to school next year

Yep - I keep one in the car all the time to fill up with water, and I have one by my bed for water, too. Your mug will make your school day brighter.

The measuring cups and spoons are adorable! I need to keep a list of what I want to buy next time I go to WDW because I know there were a bunch of things I wanted in your shopping pictures in the past and I forgot what they are now

So pretty.

It is probably best that you have forgotten. You saved money, I'm sure.

Another shopping update with MeMom! By now, I feel like we're shopping buddies.

I love the kitchen items. I see lots of stuff I'm going to have to ask for once we move into our new apartment in June!

Sunrise at Pop! I love those pics because it brings me back to our early mornings there as well.

Imagination Movers!! Such a cute show.

Didn't you love Everything Pop for some good shopping? :hippie:

You will surely need some Disney kitchen things. :thumbsup2

MeMom, thank you so much for your help with the pictures. I knew you were the perfect person to ask. They were exactly what I was looking for.

You are welcome. I guessed where they might be and found them fairly quickly.

Man, I go away to Tennessee for a week and come back to see you've started and are now on pge 22. All caught up now and can't wait for more! Poor Brooklyn withthe toilet! I had one that wouldn't stop flushing, not near as bad as Brooklyn's incident.

I've come across the eternal flushers, too.

How was Tennessee? It's very pretty here today.

WL is on my list of resorts to visit and eat at.

I love looking at the details of everything I didn't pay attention to when I worked at Pop. I don't think I ever took the time to stop and really enjoy the shadowboxes.

Those Valentine pins are so cute.

That's why the resort themes may be better - they're more subtle than just all out Mickey.

You worked right across from those shadowboxes and didn't pay any attention to them? When you go back as a guest, you can make up for that. Who still works there that worked there when you did? Maybe I can manage to get them in a picture for you. :)

I"m all caught up here, finally! School, kids stuff, birthday stuff, and family visiting have had me all tied up lately!:faint:

I should've taken notes as I went along because I've forgotten most of what I wanted to comment on...:upsidedow I do know I loved all the WL pictures. We love that place. It looked weird to me because my last remembrance is at Christmas with that beautiful tree up in the lobby.

I have that pack of pens that you took a picture of at Everything Pop. I love having little things like that at school to get me through.

We went to the Disney store today before meeting family for lunch. Sadly, I was disappointed in the selection.:sad2: I did find Ben a Perry shirt and got one myself since they were 2/$. Ellie has also decided she wants to collect vinylmations so she got her first one. I've since gone on ebay and bought her a mixed "lot" of 5 of them to put in her Easter basket.

Also, for anyone interested, Old Navy has quite a few Disney shirts for girls out for spring. They were really cute!:thumbsup2 We might have gotten a few of those too.:rolleyes1

I hope you have had a great spring break. The house improvements sound exciting. Our house is only 10 years old so we don't have major work to do but we certainly have things we should spruce up. I do hope to get the kids rooms and two of the bathrooms done this summer. Ellie wants a Mickey bathroom. I saw all that stuff at Target the other day...:rolleyes1

Hello. So, I am only on page 11 - each time I go forward the TR gets longer!!! I live in a fog...I knew you were headed to Disney, and I clearly forgot the dates. I will know next time for the trip coming up in 10 weeks???:confused3 Okay, so I will pay attention for the dates as I read on.

Airport- UGH! Runing and jumping...Memom, I loved how you told it. Jill, I am amazed by your calmness!

ME- Double UGH! Wow!! I hope the parks weren't a nightmare!

Ohana style dinner- YUM!

Pop Pictures - Cool - love the bridge view and I guess the construction is doable, as it will lead to something fun!

I look forward to hearing more funny tales about Memom's friend...

PS - I have lurked on far too many of your reports! Memom- it is nice to see pictures of you!

You are so funny!:lmao:

Stacy! I went to the Disney store today, too! We must have just missed each other. I didn't go until after church, and then it's an hour drive, so we didn't get to the mall until around 2 o'clock. I didn't find anything I had to have-so I left empty handed.

My husband is on a business trip to Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He actually already finished in Shanghai, and is in Hong Kong now. He'll be headed to Singapore later today. Of all the wonderful things that I am sure are over there, I asked him to PLEASE go to the Disney store located in the Hong Kong airport to bring me home something from Hong Kong Disneyland. I think some people would think I was crazy (or ill), but I know all of my friends here would have done the same! :dance3:

LOVE the Mickey Mouse cookie cutter! That is JUST what I need to buy in August!!!

I like to think you wished for Toby to have a brother or sister so I am keeping everything crossed! :goodvibes

Brook and Bella look so sweet fast asleep in their buggies and I love the pics of them seeing Trent - always such happy and fun pictures of the 3 of them!

Disney pens and Disney note pads are nice to have at school. Just about any time I send a note to another teacher in his/her mailbox or by a kid messenger, I send it on some kind of Disney notepad. Not only do I like it, but most of the time, the recepient will say something about it and get a smile, too. :wizard:

I'll have to be sure Jill checks out Old Navy. She likes their stuff anyway, so she may already have been. She was putting away winter clothes and getting out summer clothes yesterday.

I checked out the Target bathroom things online. That would make a cute bathroom for Ellie! ::MickeyMo

We'll be at 14 weeks this Saturday. We're leaving on Friday afternoon (1st), but we're driving as far as we can and stopping, so we won't get into Disney World until Saturday, the 2nd.

Magic Kingdom was bad on that one afternoon. After that, everything else was okay - no problems.

It will be exciting to see what continues to happen at Art of Animation Suites. We look forward to staying there.

Of course, any of us would want something from an overseas Disney place. Very cool! You'll have to let us know (even show us) what he brings back.

We might need to do some research. Maybe if the coin falls heads up, you have a boy, and if it falls tails up, you have a girl. Or vice versa. I'm sure this is a very scientific and magical procedure. :thumbsup2

As rarely as you make it to Disney World, I hope you get to grab everything on your list to make it through until next time. ::yes::

The girls and I watched this guy from our balcony.

IMG_0713.jpg

To my right, I could see this.

IMG_0714.jpg

I wondered if there was a subliminal message - if this was where they put all their Tennessee people.

IMG_0715.jpg

:rolleyes1

Some breakfast before getting on the bus.

IMG_0716.jpg

IMG_0717.jpg

This was Sunday. We planned to go to Hollywood Studios, since this was the only day for Fantasmic. It also worked well, because we wanted to say hi to Ed, and he only works on weekends. A few other people had the same plan.

IMG_0718.jpg

Sweet girls on a bus.

IMG_0721.jpg

My view down below - Bella in a buggy.

IMG_0722.jpg

Brooklynn took a second to schmooze with Bo.

IMG_0723.jpg

I think Jill went to get Toy Story Fastpasses while we hung out in the shops. I don't remember exactly.

I do remember that Brooklynn was in the mood to try on ears and be photographed.

IMG_0724.jpg

Every time I turned around to take a shot of some piece of merchandise,

IMG_0725.jpg

I would hear a little voice say, "Oh, MeMom!" in a sing song tone. :cutie:

Nerd merchandise was everywhere.

Okay, that's it. It's back to school after a productive (but all too short) spring break. Had we not gone to Disney World earlier, I would have felt really cheated.

Ten weeks until summer break! :cool1:

Being up in the middle of the night has it's benefits-first to respond after an update! Brooky looks so cute in all those ears. Hope school goes well today.

The "Hick" picture-too funny. :rotfl:

The girls look so cute on the bus with their big sister, little sister shirts on.

Love to see some shopping pics:thumbsup2.

Boy I wish we were getting summer clothes out here. We are supposed to get 1-4 inches on snow today:sad2:. Yesterday was so nice that DH & I went for a walk and now back to that white stuff!!

I hope you have a great day back to work today MeMom.

That was one busy bus stop. I have never seen one like that at Pop before.

Have a great day at school! Hopefully the kids will behave ....:goodvibes

You should be so happy with all that you acomplished this past week.

I didn't notice Tinkerbell had red eyes...:confused3 I don't like it.

I think the girls "big sister, little sister" tees are so cute!
BrooklynnsMommy you always find the sweetest clothes for them! :thumbsup2

We are suppose to get snow here today...:headache:...I should really move to FL. :sunny:

Wow it seemed really crowded from your pictures. I'm surprised by that. I wouldn't have thought the crowds would pick up that much until April??? I'm a little confused at how spring break can last from February to May???? When I was in school (even though that was in the jurassic period :rolleyes1) spring break was only the week of Easter for pretty much everyone.

Loved the bird photo. I love that there is so much wildlife all around Disney (well, the nonreptilian kind anyway ;) ). And the "Hick" building at Pop isn't just for Tennessee folks... we have WAY more than our fair share of those here in NC too!

Whew, I was behind on updates!

Pop looks like such a neat place. Jeremy would love staying there. We may do that next spring break!

I love shopping with you MeMom. Boy, it brightens my day.

:cloud9:Roaring Forks at Wilderness lodge---isn't it great! It is our absolute favorite counter service at Disney.

The girls looked so cute on the disney bus!

Loved the post about the guys in Home Depot! I needed that this Monday morning. Too funny.

Too cool about the different rooms in your house. I love that you have them Disney themed.

IMG_0704.jpg

I love these ears. Are they red or pink?
I wondered if there was a subliminal message - if this was where they put all their Tennessee people.

IMG_0715.jpg

That's too funny!
Nerd merchandise was everywhere.

IMG_0731.jpg

My inner nerd loves this shirt!

Sorry your Spring break is over. We are patiently waiting for our. It's not until the week after Easter.:sad2: I think by the time the teachers get the kids heads back in the game, school will be almost over.

All caught up-I really enjoyed the pics at the WL. We are staying there for the first time in October! Can't wait!

That was quite a crowd joining you for DHS that early morning. Brooklynn and Bella look like bus riding pros.

Cute pictures of Brooklyn and her ears!!! :goodvibes I just love seeing sweet happy faces having a good time :)

I have quite a few kitchen items...the Mickey drain thingy in my sink, a black MH soap dispenser that I think was from Target, kitchen towels.
In my living room I have Mission style furniture and it is a little darker so it goes well with my 3 framed Larry Dotson pictures of AKL.....LOVE them! And I have a tall giraffe on one of the tables so that reminds me of AKL but is not over the top Disney...now my niece's room on the other hand....:rotfl: corkboard with all of her pins...Mickey comforter....assorted Disney plush etc. :rolleyes1

Love the "Hick" sign ;)
