Drinking on the boat seems to be the clear winner, thanks to everyone for all the input! I think we may still bring a small bottle of O'Maras, just for the sake of having a nightcap. And at World Market this weekend, I found the cutest little half-bottle of my favorite white wine: Conundrum! That might come too.
But otherwise? It's sailaway drinks, Bahama Mamas and pina coladas at Serenity Bay, baby!
Did I mention we sail in 15 days? Because we do.
So, a funny little story......this weekend, Lionel and I got all motivated to work on some of the house maintenance projects that have been slacking for awhile while we were trying to regrout the master bathroom. After lots of sweat, and a few hundred dollars, we now have:
- a working garage door - the spring had broken
- neatly trimmed trees and shrubs
- evidence of mulch in the front garden, previously obscured by mounds of weeds
- a pressure-washed front walkway
The front walk looks lovlier than it has since the day we moved in. It's a shame we don't see it anymore though, because now that the garage door is fixed we just come in the house through there. So imagine my surprise when I was pointing at a cute little lizard perched on the front window, and saw an envelope at the door!
CRUISE DOCS!!!!!
Make me wonder how long they have been sitting there. A day? Two?
Anyhow, it was very exciting. We can only hope that Sarah's will arrive in time, way up in the Great White North where the mail takes ten years to reach. Worst case scenario? They can FedEx the stuff here if it isn't at her place by the 4th.
Not much else to report, other than the fact that I have been reviewing my "to pack" list almost nightly and am resisting the urge to start packing right now. Better pop over to
castaway club dot com (they keep bleeping it when I try to link! what gives?) to preview the navigators!
