Ok... that's $101.66 per person...

OR

22 drinks each... give or take...

Wow! Great discount! :woohoo: I want to live in Florida! It's great that DU gave you the credit automatically - with most companies, I bet you would have to beg or rebook or something. I wonder if DCL gave the automatic credits???

Lets see 22 drinks each.... thats 7 drinks a day. Surely even YOU could be happy with that dividend!

Just trying to make things easier for you....

Of course if you took along a extra cup or two and split them... you could do an around the Wonder drink tasting cruise... Just remember you are not on Carnival and we don't want to hear about you on CNN.... ;)

Erica...congrats, but I have to say that I am jealous....that kind of thing would never happen to me.

Also, I made the brownied truffle thing for tonight, and I used Tia Maria instead of the Bailey's....smelled good and the spoon tasted great. :lmao: I will let you know how it is this weekend when we dig into tonight for our girls Chocolate, Cosmo, and Jewelry party.

I cannot tell you how excited we are about this. Last night Lionel and I were trying to figure out if we should use the money for a special dinner, say California Grill, before the cruise......or if we should leave the bottles at home and just drink ourselves silly with the credit.

Decisions, decisions......

I vote leave the bottles home and spend some of the money on drinks!!

I agree... drink it when you get home...

& just remember... pack the bungee cords so what does go on the Wonder....stays on the wonder....

& remember....

Por favor mantenganse alejados de las railings....

I love reading your trip reports  . You crack me up. I will be going on the Magic on Oct. 20, so its like I am counting down with you. You have inspired me to try some new drinks :rotfl: .

Well....the night went great, with a few minor hiccups.....lots of chocolate, the triffle was yummy, the chocolate fondue was super, the lava cake was heavenly, and the Chocolate Martinis were to die for....the cosmo's were pretty good too. The secret of the cosmo was that we made cranberry icecubes which made for a great "splash of cranberry" and kept the drink cold. I just don't know how we are going to get the icecubes on the ship. :thumbsup2 It is really a shame you live in the south and not up in RI with the rest of us, it would seem you would fit right in!!!

Have a great day!!!

Drinking on the boat seems to be the clear winner, thanks to everyone for all the input! I think we may still bring a small bottle of O'Maras, just for the sake of having a nightcap. And at World Market this weekend, I found the cutest little half-bottle of my favorite white wine: Conundrum! That might come too.

But otherwise? It's sailaway drinks, Bahama Mamas and pina coladas at Serenity Bay, baby! :cloud9:

Did I mention we sail in 15 days? Because we do. :woohoo:

So, a funny little story......this weekend, Lionel and I got all motivated to work on some of the house maintenance projects that have been slacking for awhile while we were trying to regrout the master bathroom. After lots of sweat, and a few hundred dollars, we now have:

  • a working garage door - the spring had broken
  • neatly trimmed trees and shrubs
  • evidence of mulch in the front garden, previously obscured by mounds of weeds
  • a pressure-washed front walkway

The front walk looks lovlier than it has since the day we moved in. It's a shame we don't see it anymore though, because now that the garage door is fixed we just come in the house through there. So imagine my surprise when I was pointing at a cute little lizard perched on the front window, and saw an envelope at the door!

CRUISE DOCS!!!!!

Make me wonder how long they have been sitting there. A day? Two? :rolleyes1

Anyhow, it was very exciting. We can only hope that Sarah's will arrive in time, way up in the Great White North where the mail takes ten years to reach. Worst case scenario? They can FedEx the stuff here if it isn't at her place by the 4th.

Not much else to report, other than the fact that I have been reviewing my "to pack" list almost nightly and am resisting the urge to start packing right now. Better pop over to castaway club dot com (they keep bleeping it when I try to link! what gives?) to preview the navigators!

So funny story. I came home tonight to a UPS notice on my door indicating that they'd tried to deliver something to me and would be back tomorrow. So i called UPS, gave them the tracking number so that i could make arrangements to have them drop it off at my work address tomorrow since i won't be home.

Only to have the woman on the other end of the phone inform me that THAT package was delivered to some other random address, and had someone else's name on it. And could i please provide a tracking number instead of the infonotice number so she could figure it out.

My response? How can i give you a tracking number if i have NO clue what's being mailed to me? I asked if perhaps they could contact the driver, who might have accidently mixed up the little stupid info notice things and given me the one that belonged to that other person and my notice is somewhere else? Or would it be possible to track something on their end by address? phone number? name?

What did i get as a response? "I'm sorry i can't do anything for you." Not once....but repeatedly. Given that this is what i had to deal with after coming home from a seriously crazy day. I told her that hopefully someday she'd be able to help someone and hung up.

So...all that being said. There may or may not have been a package from disney or not disney that may or may not have been for me. Like that? Ya i did too.

....back to killing orcs.

That stinks!
You know, we didn't have to sign for ours so I think the delivery guy made an error with us too. The last two times we HAVE had to sign for them.

Well, you're getting on the boat one way or another. Even if I have to call that woman myself ;) I'll say "don't you know who I AM?????" :rolleyes1
