Geeks on a budget - 12/22, complete! Read reflections within....

How many days Erica???????????
Any new planning??????????????
Any new drink ideas????????????

Huh??????????????

popcorn::

Nothing new as of yet, but I did get more pineapple juice at Publix this afternoon and ceebrated with a wedding cake martini. Trying to build my tolerance up before food and wine fest ;)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

She's going through geek withdrawal.....

How sweet.... :grouphug:

:rotfl2:

Friday puts my arrival in Florida down to 21 days and believe me we're ALL super excited. The geek plans for the few days before the cruise are in full swing. Emails from Erica's darling husband come to me evey day:

So what do you want to do? Only <insert number of days here> days left!!!!!!!Should we do this? how about this? Life is busy with this, that and this other thing. So which days are we going to disney? Are we gonig to see the other people that live in florida? when do you want to go bowling?

The questions never stop *grin* I can hardly wait...looking forward to it more and more everyday!

Imagine how I feel, I live with that every day of my life! :rotfl: 30 days until we sail as of today.....4 weeks from Thursday! And before that, Food and Wine! And probably Animal Kingdom again. And someone said something about the beach? :rolleyes1

This week we have been caught up in stinkin' reality. Ick. Replacing shower fixtures, work nonsense, and a homeowner's association meeting. This is why we go on cruises, to escape the mundane chores of adulthood.

Ok... I'll admit it... I'm a geek too... a ditzy one...

So just how are all of you related???

And not by the martini of the month club.....

Tink if the Tag Fairy reads this thread.... you deserve a tag for that one!

Silversea and Erica.....soooo excited for you two being this close on your countdown. :yay:

October seemed so far away when this thread started.

Technically Erica/Lionel and I aren't related...

But in our hearts i'm Lionel's lil sister *smiling*

There's a geek story there but i'm soooooo not explaining that one *grin*

That's a nice way to be related... I have some "brothers" that I grew up with... of course even 30 + years later they STILL treat me like I was a little BRAT!!!

BUT.....

Kiss 103.5 in Ottawa DOES have a martini of the month club...

Here's this month's just in case you don't have any other ideas for tonights libations...

& Yes... Thank you Tiffany...

OHHH love this gonna try it friday with my gals night out group!

That sunset martini sounds great......but now I have to go out and buy RASPBERRY vodka too! See what you are doing to me Michelle???? :rotfl:

Yes, Sarah and I are not related, but we might as well be. I think she's stayed at our house more than any of our family has! I admit, we kind of got her hooked on Disney. Not that that's a bad thing.

And now? We're about to get her hooked on DCL! Bwahahahaha......our evil plan is finally working...... :rolleyes1

Database, can you believe it??? In exactly four weeks and five minutes, we will be sailing away! I can't tell you how excited I am. Yes I can. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Yeah... but I'm the one who told you to go and grab the leftovers after the sail away party... cups... not drinks... ;)

24 days until we sail! And 18 days until Sarah arrives. That's virtually tomorrow!

I don't have much in the way of updates, other than the fact that I picked up not one but TWO travel packs of ginger chews at Target yesterday. You can never have too many ginger chews.

Not much to do over the next few weeks other than to make my coctail mix and gather a few water bottles to pour stuff into. And make my list. I love making my packing list.

I am trying not to pull the suitcase out yet, but it is taking lots of willpower. Of course, it helps that we are in the middle of a bathroom update. Other things to keep me busy.....

Happy weekend to all!

Forgive me for not consulting my calendar, but is that the 10/4?
We might be joining you.........
they have some killer FL residents rates right now.......

;) ;)

No, it's the 10/11.
I wonder if the FL rates are cheaper than our deal, hmmmm.....that would leave more money for boozing! :rolleyes1

No! Save the money, okay. But ruin your whole premise for the TR...no. I'm putting my foot down. No booze can be bought on the cruise. :)

Of course, if you want, you can send a stateroom credit to the 9/23 cruise for stateroom #7620 with the money you save. I'll buy the booze for you and leave it in the safe. :rolleyes1

How thoughtful ;)

From what I can gather we are at the bottom tier of pricing as-is, so it looks like the title of the TR can still stay. Now the question is, what kind of cosmic event will it take to keep me from saying "well, maybe just this one little thing...." and starting a cascade of events that require us to take out a second mortgage when we get home?

I get very dramatic on Tuesdays.

Erica....

It's time to start the pool... like the how many drinks can they bum off of everyone else pool...

You'll need it to pay for the drinks...

Make it a 50 - 50... maybe we can negotiate a 60 - 40 for you...

Charitable donations!!! They are tax deductable... The Geeks nonprofit organization... Besides... the booze can be deducted as a business expense...

Hey... girl scout cookies? They make tons selling them... you could sell Martini's door to door...

Check under the cushions of everyone you go to see and see if there's any extra change left...

Take the extra pennies they offer you if you need a penny... take a penny... they add up, you know....

Always look down - you never know if someone drops change or whatever...

If I come up with anything else...

Offer a 3 year old to take that filthy old dollar bill off their hands and you'll give them a shiny new nickel to replace it.

Congratulations! More boozing for the cruising!

As an aside, I want to move back to Florida. I was 5 years old when we left for Missouri and quite frankly no one asked me how I felt about re-locating. There we were in Kissimmee ... just Grimace, Grim Grandma, and me ... I could have been happy gorwing up as trailer trash, really. ;)
