Geeks on a budget - 12/22, complete! Read reflections within....

I have no time.....NO FREE TIME.
But did you know......Sarah arrives tomorrow? AND we sail in one week? A week from right now, we will be sitting at the buffet in Parrot Cay.

GARSH! Seems like just yesterday you were wondering if you should plan this cruise :surfweb:

:cheer2: :yay: :cool1:

Yup that's right...plane lands in less than 16 hours baby!

Totally think I forgot things but who cares! After all, that's what TARGET is for!

Nah... it was yesterday she was trying to decide what martini to drink....

It was the day BEFORE that she was planning the cruise!!!

I know! I can hardly keep from squealing! :goodvibes

What makes you think we're taking a trip to Target? Oh, maybe because we only go about five times every time you are visiting......:rolleyes1

You get to see Oscar in like.....12 hours!

You know, that's actually pretty accurate, Michelle!

It's almost time to sail :sail:
I can't wait to read all about it........:woohoo:

I must get ginger chews, I must get ginger chews......only 20 days to still get my stash.

So like when are you guys leaving???? (we want to alert the liquor stores on the way to the port...)

So... did you break the budget at Target????

:thumbsup2
We're back from warming up the ship for you!!

I'm still trying to figure out how we spent about $300 onboard on drinks......and I didn't even get to try the Martini Flight......:confused3

Of course, we did forget to pack our own. I'll tell you what though just in case you guys have run out by day 2..( ), there is this great little liquor store in Nassau right across from that Festival Place that sells little "rum & coke" packages.... a can of coke taped to a 12 oz bottle of rum for $2.50. Its the cheap stuff....but come on...$2.50?!?! Awesome.
Oh and you can only bring back one liter of Bahamas alcohol per person, but heck...who's bringing it back anyway.....:rotfl2:

You guys are going to have a great time. Now I'm jealous!!!

Bon Voyage!!!:drinking: :sail:

So??????????????????????????

Have you packed yet??????

Are you semi sober???????

Have you even let Sarah Sleep since she got there??????

We need details!!!!!!!!

Oh how are we going to get through the time you are on board??????

TAKE PICTURES!!!

Welcome back Jen! Thanks for warming up the Wonder :goodvibes
I am a little concerned about the bill myself......I called DCL to add our refund and the money we saved for our minimal excursions to our shipboard credit, and since then all we can talk about are Bahama Mamas and Pina Coladas! I'm a little nervous.

MUST. STICK. TO. BUDGET!

We might end up washing dishes. :rotfl2:

Michelle, we didn't go TOO crazy at Target if you can believe it.....I did get a book to read, but that was it. I already have everything else, so I managed to practice some restraint.

So far on our adventure we have been to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival (which has a Ratatouille theme, it's awesome!), the movies, pedicures, and Target. Today I went to work *sigh* but tonight we are going to our favorite restaurant, next to Palo - Seasons 52!

But tomorrow????
Tomorrow, we go to the spa! It's a local place that a friend of mine partially manages. She is giving us the royal treatment at a royal discount! Sugar scrubs, full body massages, and a special foot treatment......aaah, Heaven! After we recover from our morning of pampering, we are hitting Magic Kingdom to check out the updated Haunted Mansion. And then Wednesday is Animal Kingdom day. And laundry day. And packing like a madwoman day!

I might start packing tonight. Just because.

And all that alcohol we bought before the cruise? It did not go to waste. I treated Sarah to a very strong pomegranate martini last night, which we sipped over geeky board games.

I have pictures, but I might not get time to post until after we return from the Wonder. But I promise, they are coming!!!

Glad you guys are having some pre cruise fun...

So what is Lionel doing all this time???

The spa day sounds great. Have a heavenly time.
I can't believe it is almost time for you to go!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a blast & have a :drinking1 for me.
I'm so ready to go but I have a few more days to go than you.

Sounds like you guys are off to the right start!!! :thumbsup2

We're doing Food & Wine either this weekend or next....Ratatouille theme? Awesome.

Only three more days......:banana::cool1: :banana:

Quick update from busy central:

The spa was WONDERFUL, the Haunted Mansion renovations look awesome, and Pirates of the Caribbean is much more fun when you don't get stuck in for 30 minutes right next to drunk Bill and his kitties......

All day we have been squealing "only two more days!!!!"

How am I going to finish my packing list, do laundry, AND have people over for dinner tomorrow night? Ack!

You're throwing everything in a bag and ordering out for pizza.....

Bon Voyage, you lucky ducks!!!:donald:

BON VOYAGE YOU GUYS!!! pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

To much!!!

:rotfl2:

Ok.....laundry is going, half of my closet is lying on the bed, and people are arriving for dinner and board games in about 30 minutes. Somehow, I am not stressed. :confused3

We had a wonderful day today at Animal Kingdom......a very nice family gave us their Dream Fastpasses for the Safari! I have to find a way to pay that one forward, because it saved us a 90 minute wait. That's the first time we have ever seen fastpasses for the Safari gone before noon!

We hit Total Wine on the way home so that Sarah could grab some Pama to take back to Canada. ALMOST bought a small bottle of O'Mara's (because we opened the one we have....oops.....) but then decided not to bother. Naiively, I am thinking $100 each should go a long way for beverages. I am a silly, silly girl.

I am looking around at all of the little piles I have made, thinking "I should put that stuff in the bedroom." I should probably go ahead and get the suitcase down as well. And make pesto. And.....and.....oh dear, here comes the stress.....

We are off tomorrow at 9! I'll try to make a last minute post before we leave the house. But if not? I will see you all next week, sunburned and hung over!
