Gee Whiz, we wish we had the time...wait, we do!!!!!!

Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?

Now that song is stuck in my head. It's Monday, not sure I can handle the combination.

It's Wednesday. No life to report here.

Pakey, is the wedding definitely off? I hope you get to go on one of those trips.

I just watched the news, it is absolutely horrific in Haiti. I cannot imagine going through something like that. God bless anyone who volunteers to go over there and help. :sad1:

Hey Snap. How are you feeling today? Better I hope.

It's really sad how desensitized I find myself to all the destruction sometimes. I hate to admit that, but it always seems like there's one horrific disaster after another. I just never seems to end. :guilty::sad2: Hopefully help will arrive quickly and be able to help those poor people. I can't even begin to imagine the magnitude of the death toll. Simply staggering numbers.

hey Alphabet Soup! The pain is a lot less, but I still don't feel right. I don't know if it's my ovary or my stomach bothering me? I have an appt with my gyn on the 25th. If she has no answers and it still bothers me I'll try my GP.

On a lighter note, do you watch American Idol? Every year I swear it will be my last, but I found myself watching again last night :sad2:

I did watch Am Idol but I will stop watching after the auditions are over. I'm not watching the competition this year; I swore it off when Adam Lambert lost. Up to that point, I had watched every episode of every season but have decided that if American voters are not going to vote for talent, there's no point sitting there.

Snap, yes, wedding is definitely off. Fiancee has moved out of the house we bought for them and a roommate is moving in today to help my son defray the costs. I have not asked many details (my son is not a talker anyway) but I get the feeling that it was his decision. He said that there is no possibility of a reconcilation.

I'm still going to Disneyland next month--the DVC points that were used cannot be banked. If my friend is too sick, my husband will go. We are going to WDW in May. My son is going with us and if he can find a friend who wants to go (and pay his own way) he can take a friend. He wanted to take middle son but after last family trip in 09, we aren't ready to deal with middle son on vacation. :rotfl: We have a 3 bedroom villa lined up so there's plenty of room. Otherwise, he said he's fine just going with the two of us.

But since I don't have to pay for a wedding or the honeymoon to Ireland in October, I'll be cancelling my Oct WDW trip and we'll go someplace nicer. We are currently looking at Egypt. My husband and I enjoy travelling but except for Disney, we have a rule that all vacations must be to someplace new.

Snap, hopefully you get good news at GYN and that it's something easily treated.

Haiti: I can't imagine living anywhere with that level of devastation. Certainly makes the trials of my life seem very small.

We've had a busy day. Pictures for my two birthday girls, then well checks. Of course, I had all 5 with me. Now I have quite a :headache:. DD2 can wear you out. And, all she had to do was accompany us.

DD1 got a total of 7 shots and 2 ears pierced. She played the role of screaming pin cushion. DD5 got performance anxiety about peeing in a cup. She gave them next to nothing after 3 trys, but it seemed to be enough.

My day seemed tough until I thought about Haiti. I'm far too spoiled. I couldn't even imagine the devastation.

Hugs to the little pin cushion :hug:

Pakey, I'm sure your son had a good reason. Glad he found out BEFORE the wedding.

I have been telling DH for a long time that I feel my life is an embarrassment of riches, so many coats, so much food, etc. I will be donating tomorrow to one of the charities for Haiti. I feel like it's too little, too late, yet I feel like I have to do something.

Have a good night my friends, DH doesn't feel well, I am going to pour him some cough medicine.

I can't imagine taking 5 kids to the ped's office. I stopped at one, 'cause I just don't have the patience for more than that. :thumbsup2 ;) As for DD5's performance anxiety, I completely understand. Happens to me EVERY time. I was scheduled for an endoscopy a few years ago. Couldn't go. Finally, they rescheduled me from first patient to 5th and fed me 2 bags of IV before I could "perform". Talk about embarassing. The entire staff started to cheer when I finally went. :rotfl2: All of this so they could do a urine/pregnancy test. I swore to them I wasn't pregnant, but it wasn't good enough.

I couldn't imagine taking one child to the doctor's. Thank goodness my husband always handled all of the domestic fires.

I did have to take my son to the emergency room once when he got hurt at a friend's house. Friend's dad was home alone with the boys when it happened and when I got there to pick up son, the dad had covered by son's gashes with a row of kotexes tied onto the leg with black electrical tape. And that's how I carried him into the ER.

I'm sorry, but, :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ok, DH fell asleep already and I'm watching Idol. It's sad to say I couldn't even remember the guy's name who won last year. Has he done anything at all???

I agree Pak, Adam Lambert definitely should have won!

I could not imagine DH taking the children to the doctor. He doesn't ask questions or explain things to me later, such how much med to give and when. I try to go with him to important appts so I actually find things out. Once he had the doctor write notes to me because he knew he wouldn't remember what she said.

DH's grandfather used to improvise with everything. The family would call the doctoring job your son received pre-er, Miltonized. The only things missing were duct tape and baleing wire.

I'm waiting for the single release of "pants on the ground":lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: He was so cute! How sad is it that he was better than so many others? That one guy was scaring me, I thought he was going to get violent (the one who wouldn't stop singing).

I didn't like it when they kept laughing at the skinny country guy. Sometimes they are just too mean.

I didn't watch last night. I am working long weeks now and I just couldn't commit to staying awake that long.

Snap, the guy who won last year was Kris Allen. His CD released the week after Adam Lambert's. I have no idea how either CD did regarding sales. I did download Adam's onto my iphone. None of the songs come close to comparing with Mad World from his idol performances but I'd say I like 70% of the songs.

Kerrie, I'd be lost without my husband. Certainly the boys would have never made it to adulthood without him; I'm a much better accountant than I am a parent.

I like it that during the credits, it showed the cast and crew, and some of the contestants singing "pants on the ground" with him.

I know that the producers let through a few of the "non-singers" for comedy relief.

It may seem mean, but really, did all the friends and family not tell the contenstants they didn't have a chance, because they really could not sing?:scared1:

Gotta love the pants on the ground man. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My daughter likes to sing, but she's not very good at it -- she's not bad mind you, but it won't be the way she makes money in her future. ;) Last year when we were watching AI there was one guy who keeps coming back, season after season, with his mom who encourages him. He's horrible! I told my daughter "see, I'm not being mean, it's actually because I love you that I tell you the truth. Would you rather I be like that guy's mom?" DD thanked me for loving her and being honest with her. :goodvibes

Pakey, I'm definitely the more involved parent. With 5 kids, I don't think DH has changed 10 diapers total over the years. Or given 10 baths. If anything ever happened to me, his mother would probably do most of the care taking. He adores them and enjoys doing things with them, but he's not really into the taking care part.

I don't watch American Idol. My mil watches every year. She won't take phone calls when its on either. We actually don't watch too much tv here, and when we do its discovery channel, animal channel, and the like. I did see the "pants on the ground" guy on youtube. We definitely haven't heard the last of him.

As usual, I'm doing too many things at once. I'm trying to do laundry and make lunch when the baby has a butt explosion. Change the baby, change her clothes, change her matt, clean hands and pull lunch out of the oven. I asked one of the kids to take the clothes and matt for me, but I misspoke and said to throw them in the trash not the laundry. Of course, my mistake is immediately pointed out. I said, "I'm sorry. Sometimes mommie says crazy things." My smart butt son then says, "only sometimes?" :lmao:

I was really into Idol. Actually, I enjoy reality TV in general. My husband hates all of it. I cut out Idol due to Adam Lambert losing but I cut a bunch more due to trying to give my husband a break from the stuff. It's bad enough he has to watch TV with one of the two dogs he didn't want sitting on his lap; he should at least get to occasionally watch something he likes (history channel, discovery, etc. zzzzzzzz).

It must be tough on those judges to have to sit there for hours upon hours listening to people audition.
