GCSE exam dates?

Does anyone know what date the GCSE exams usually finish each year?

We're trying to book some time off for our holiday next summer (not necessarily Florida this time ) and are looking at the end of June / beginning July - trying to make it as soon as possible after the end of youngest DDs GCSEs.

I know from eldest DDs experience that we're unlikely to have her firm exam timetable much before late spring next year, so I'm trying to make an educated guess as to the earliest date which would be 'safe' to book a trip. It would be a bit of a disaster if we discovered DD still had an exam to sit after we were due to fly off somewhere!

The exam boards in DDs school are mainly WJEC and AQA.

My DD is sitting her GSCE's at the moment and her last one is on June 25th. As far as I can gather, that is one of the last ones anyone has. i would think if you go for the start of July, you would be okay.

To double check, why not call the school and ask when the last exam usually falls. They should have a good idea.

We had the same dilemma this year, Hilary. The very latest date for any GCSE exam is 30th June - we couldn't pin it down any further than that, although in the event, dd's last exam turns out to be 23rd.

KEH - I would have rung the school to ask but, as they are on half term at the moment, I just guessed someone here would be able to give me an answer sooner

Looks like we'll probably leave it until the beginning of July.
