I am going in September, wanted to wait to buy tickets as late as I could because they will be non-refundable. With the way gas is going up, do you think the price increase will be substantial enough that I should buy now?

We are going in November and my husband was worried about the same thing. I ended up buying our tickets a few weeks ago. :goodvibes

We are also going in September and bought ours a few weeks ago. With the price of oil going up and gas projected to be around $4 a gallon this summer, I'm not expecting to find too many airfare deals.

Got our airline tickets last week for 200 round trip from Philadelphia. We figured we should book. Cant imagine getting a much better deal anyway.

I got my tickets, I just bought them, w/tax its 206 per person. Its not that I was waiting for a better deal, I was worried something might come up and I couldn't go on the trip. At least now I know the price I paid is good and I don't have to worry about the summer gas prices

I know I'm going to feel really silly when the SW, Sun Country and AirTran flights come out for November, but we just didn't want to take any risks with layovers in winter or gas prices pushing airfare up any more. So, we bit the bullet and got our 4 tickets for $399/person direct on delta today. It's about $130 more than we've paid for November in the past, but we needed specific flights (becuase of the cruise at the end and grandma on the first leg of the trip) and they really haven't been changing. I'm happy we were able to get exactly what we wanted and don't have the added stress of watching them every day for the next 254 days!

Wow I was just talking to my girlfriends about our upcoming trip in October. We are set to travel 10/22-10/29 and our flights from Austin are at $280 each. We have never flown during this time frame so I am not sure what flights were costing last year. We were hoping to wait for Jet Blue or Southwest prices. But as others have stated, fuel prices are increasing. Wish we had a crystal ball:laughing:
