I live in Louisiana, and after the 2 hurricanes, it was terrible trying to get gas. We are leaving for diz in 2 weeks. Does anyone know if there is a "Gas Shortage" in Orlando right now?? Thanks

Not that I am aware of. I have spoken to family and friends since Wilma hit and Orlando was not really affected. I will be back from our weekend at DW on Monday and let you know first hand.

When I read your subject matter, I thought uncontrollable flatulence was going to keep you from going to WDW. :rotfl2:

No worries, there is no shortage of gas here in the Orlando area. There aren't even any "shortages" in South Florida. The problem down there is that due to the loss of electricity, the pumps can't function. That's improving each day. But here in O-Town, we're fine....

Lovin Diz---what route are you taking? We leave in three weeks from Dallas and were planning to drive I-20 to 49, to 12, to I-10. Last trip we went I-20 all the way to Jackson and then cut down to I-10.

FYI, cheapest gas in the Orlando area IS at the Disney Hess stations!
Yesterday it was $2.49/gal

lovin diz, I'm from the Pensacola area and was over in Bay St. Louis earlier this week. It's probably no surprise to you that there's not any gas to be found on the I-10 corridor through most of Mississippi, but I believe it looked like business as usual by Pascagoula, and I know for sure you won't have any trouble from Mobile onwards.

I also think you'll be fine in Florida. Have a great trip!

Thanks everyone!! it was BAD here after our hurricanes, I was getting worried. Trampslady we live approx 10 min off of I-12 so we take I 12 - then I-10 and then are going on down to orlando. I Cant wait :cool1:  :Pinkbounc

You guys will have so much fun! We can hardly wait either--and we just went in March! The weather should be really nice.

Is the traffic "okay" through the I-12 Baton Rouge area now?

It s gettin better (rush hour--a different story  ) But time is going by, and less people in baton rouge is a good thing.

I can verify after this past week, this is very true. In fact it's over $.50 cheaper than many stations in the area.

I make sure to top off there on my last night of leaving before going home.
