Has anyone eaten at the Garden Tea place at the Grand Floridian. Me, my mom and my grandmother would like to go there. What do they serve? Is it any good? :confused3

Here is the menu from Deb's Unofficial Guide -

My DD's and I had tea there a couple of years ago. It was great fun. An English butler seated us and we each had our own pot of tea with strainers. We didn't get one of the packages, but ordered a la carte. We went about 4-5 in the afternoon and didn't need dinner. :)

My daughter and I did it a few years ago and we loved it. We also had to skip dinner. We had the workds-tea sanwichs, scones, and a pasterie.

We were there in Dec for DD 20th birthday and loved it!!!
Little sandwich's and scones and desserts to die for..very nice ladies day..
Service was wonderful... :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

im tinkdawg's cousin and thanks for yalls replies i know she will appreciate it. That is all she talks about thanks again

I booked for DW and MIL for her birthday and they were thrilled. They it was a great way to relax but like everyone else said, plan to skip dinner. They are still talking about how great it was 1 year later. I would go, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Our whole family of 5 (me, DH and 3 DD's) had tea there 2 years ago and it is one of our fondest memories of that trip. We ordered a la carte rather than one of the pre-priced packages and it was quite reasonable - not to mention decadent and relaxing!! Well worth it and we'll do it again.

We did it in November, and though we weren't impressed with the sandwiches, the scones were good, the pastries were lovely, and the strawberries and cream were great! I just don't recommend the peppermint tea, though.;) Should've gone with cinnamon or such.

Loved it. May I recommend the China Black or the Oolong tea?!

Just didn't like the salmon sandwiches...have discovered I just plain don't like salmon.

Brother had the strawberries and cream....to die for.

Just a really great Victorian frou-frou experience...but felt comfy in my khaki shorts and polo shirt!

Last May we did our first "Tea" it's now a must for every trip.

The desserts. (yummy)

I ordered two Cinderella's Slippers in advance for my nieces.

I did it on the last trip. Loved it! I got the big tea spead with snadwiches, scones, and pastries. I also had some kind of savory appetizers that I think were supposed to go with the "man's" tea package. That could be because it was late in the day, though. One thing though- it spoiled me for tea bags. Loose leaf brewed in a pot is so much better!

My dd (age 22) and I did tea this trip in January. We loved it. It was so pleasant and peaceful. It is a nice break especially since we love doing Disney commando style! I wish we had tried it years ago. We have already decided that next time, we will take a day off from the parks and tea will be one of activities for the day off.

This is such a great experience, the scones and clotted cream are fantastic. We are going to be getting the first seating for our next trip, after a day of travelling. We figure we'll need a late light dinner.

I love the tea at the Grand Floridian. It's so relaxing. It's a beautiful setting. Servers with starched uniforms and aprons. Tea served in beautiful china tea pot with cozy and beautiful matching tea cups. It's a wonderful relaxing experience. I usually schedule this on my last day at WDW. I love the cinnamon tea. I usually order the tea and dessert - the strawberries and cream or the truffle. Wonderful!

I scheduled this for MIL, DD & her 6yr old DD, and her 9 mo. old DD, and myself!! Now a must every trip! Our GIRLS ONLY OUTING at our WDW reunion!
6 year old got MRS. Potts tea. Chocolate milk in a teapot, so cute!! We each orderd different things, and shared. 9 month old did crumble some crackers on floor, not a problem. Some little girls in pretty little princess, or party dresses, we were in shorts, most were in shorts & polos, or blouses. NO tank tops! Very comfortable!! But, very quiet atmosphere. ENJOY!!!!
