I have been reading in various guidebooks about having groceries deliverd to our room We are staying at Port Orleans-Riverside. Has anyone tried gardengrocer.com? We're are think about trying it, but want to see what Disney Vet's have to say.

LOVE THEM!!! Just used them again last month and was pleased as usual.

They are efficient, accurate and convenient. If you don't want to hang around and wait for your delivery, you don't have to. They will leave the order with the bell desk and will make sure that any perishables are put in the bell fridge.

Make sure you order and secure your delivery spot as soon as possible. You can always add more to the order at a later date.
 
I've used them twice. The first time was great, the second time they took forever to bring my stuff. They apparently were overbooked for that time frame. Now I understand that they limit the amount of deliverys they make so that problem should be solved. I would use them again and may for our December trip.

I heard multiple complaints on the DVC boards about Garden Grocer so I canceled my order. The haven't responded to my emails or given me my money back yet either:mad:
 

..used them and had GREAT LUCK!..no problems..I have ordered with them again/last week for our upcoming OCT trip , they have answered my emails, i have spoken to them direct etc...No problems again here.........

We are going in January and are planning on using Garden Grocer also...I read that you can order beer and wine through them, but didn't see them listed on the website. If you can, do you know if you have to be present or can you fax them a picture of your drivers licence?

I read the link to the other thread. I'm disappointed to read that some have been having problems. We used them for our May (2007) trip and they were great. As someone on the other thread said I think they may be a victim of their own success. They probably have too much business and cannot keep up with it. The guy that delivered our groceries in May was talking about how busy he was...sounded crazy. We have another trip planned for May 2008 and I'll be keeping a close eye on how things go with them between now and then.
 
We used them in June 2007 and they were great. I haven't read the recent posts, so I can't speak to that, but we had a very good experience.

We ordered water, pop, beer (faxed them my ID) and snacks (sliced apples, poptarts, fruit roll-ups, etc) and all that stuff was waiting for us in OUR room when we returned from the parks the first night! They had put everything perishable in our fridge - it was great!

It saved us a lot of money and a TON of hassle... I would definitely do it again.
 
We used them last month with no problems. We had the groceries delivered before we arrived and they were kept cold at bell services for us.
 
We used them at the end of August and everything was as promised. I actually scheduled the delivery for earlier then when we were to arrive and it was all at the bell desk and they brought it up to our room.

Never used GG, but thought about it for this trip.
Wanted to tell "love2shop" that we will be at Disney on those exact dates (10/24-10/30) I thought your ticker looked very familiar to ours.
Where are you staying? We'll be at ASMo - first time onsite.:woohoo:
 
I am going to try garden grocer. How far out in advance do I need to book? I am arriving 11/19.

Sorry to hear the problems with garden grocer. We used them for our August trip and everything was delivered to bell services while we were waiting in the ME line.

Our problem was getting bell services to bring it to the room. DH called bell services to let them know to deliver it to the room, said they would be right over. Waited almost and hour then went to dinner without it being brought up. Checked things missing. None of the refridgerated items. Bell services showed up with 2 of our 7 bags as I was about to call, asked about refridgerated item was told they probably forgot to check fridge. Called bell services yes well bring them right up. Waited and waited. Could not get kids ready for bed because PJ are in luggage still not delivered. Groceries or luggage. (By the way flight landed at 2:30pm) at 10:30pm finally walked to bell services for our items. All refridgerated items were sitting in their fridge since about 3pm. While getting the groceries for myself luggage showed up.


I would has suspected our luggage did not make the flight, but we could see it being loading as we were waiting to board. We are always very early to airport.

Bell services was horrible. So for someone that did not get your complete order it may have been bell services mistake not Garden grocer. If you did not recieve the order yourself you would not know.

Everyone makes mistakes and GG may be taking more business than they can handle, but I would not assume that they did not deliver it all.

As irritated I was with bell services I could have easily forgiven it if it was for their constant. We'll bring it riight up.

Oh by the way we were at POR building 14 the one closest to bell services.

We just got back from Disney and had Garden Grocer deliver and it worked out great.:thumbsup2 They called about 2 days before we arrived at Disney to verify everything. I had left a message when I ordered to call me when they were about to deliver our items and they did, we were not there yet so they left it with bell services. They actually called again after we arrived to make sure we got the items and everything was ok with our order. I have to say we had great service with theme and will use them again.:thumbsup2

Our problem was with bell services. We arrived that morning and we knew our room may or may not be ready till about 3 but it was around 5 and our luggage or Garden Grocer order was still not delivered , even after I had called twice, so I called again and it was delivered. So the problem may not be with Garden Grocer as suggested by another poster, could be with Bell Services. I think they do have several bins to store lugguage and groceries so it could take them sometime to find items.
