Garden Grocer question

This will be our first time using Garden Grocer (I hope anyway... :guilty: ) and I had a couple of questions. I sent an email Wednesday and have yet to get a response. I just tried to call and was asked to leave name and number.

This just makes me a little nervous. I was wondering if others had some difficulty communicating with GG in the past.

My questions were -
1. Is there a way we can order something that is not on the grocery list (a couple of lunchmeat items).
2. What is the additional charge, if any, for beer and wine delivery.
3. How long before our arrival should we send our order (looking for delivery next Thursday, July 6th)
4. If we are setting up payment via PayPal, do we still call and set up our delivery as if we were paying via cash or credit card.

I know that most everyone has had great service with GG in the past, but I am just worried.

Thanks very much! :)

The same thing happened to me in late April. When you call the #, press the option that says "if you need immediate service...(or something about needing something urgently)."

I had left numerous e-mails and name and phone number and no one returned my call. Finally, I sent a somewhat upset e-mail and someone e-mailed me back.

They told me that they value my business and they would update their telephone # to have the options handled differently.

I must say, after that...it was wonderful!! The service was excellent and everything was fresh, delivered promptly and professional.

They certainly can get you items that are not on their list...just ask.
Sorry, didn't order beer/wine.
I sent and paid our order two weeks before we arrived and called them when we were settled to let them know what room we were in.

Good Luck!

We will be using them again in August.

PS. We loved our trip to Langhorne, PA!

We used them in Jan. and had great service. Maybe because it was a less busy time and they were new, I got a call from a Brian Coleman the day after I sent an e-mail inquiry. I would send the order now. I don't know how you add items not on the list, but I know it can be done. We used a credit card/Pay Pal, so our groceries could be left with bell services if we were already at a park. It all worked out great. It was a $10 fee for a $50 min. order.

We just used them a couple weeks ago and loved the whole experience; it was easy and they were very accommodating. I ordered online and paid via PayPal - I too was confused if I had to do anything further, but I called and they called me back right away and said everything was taken care of. You can order up to the day before, but they recommend as much notice as possible. I think I only ordered about five days prior.

I didn't order any wine/beer but I did have several items NOT on their site that they were able to provide with no problem.

They called me on the day of my delivery to confirm our delivery time and worked with us to get us the time we wanted to correspond with our arrival in our room and our need to get to our dinner reservations.

Very positive experience!

only $10?
I will have an order of about $50.00.

We used them in May and received excellent service. We'll use them again in the future. We did request beer to be delivered and that wasn't an issue. Just specify what you want in the special instructions area and you shouldn't have any problems. Annmarie

$10. Also, we tipped bell services for bringing the groceries up for us. I guess if you are there when GG delivers, you would tip the driver.

We used gg for the first time in June and they were great! This was a small order ($50) and only paid $10 delivery (plus tip for the driver). We paid by credit card - I phoned to give them the number. They knew our arrival time and it just worked out perfectly because we just got our room number and gg was in the area and met us at the room. We're using them again in December.

Have a wonderful time!! pixiedust:

We had a great experience with Garden Grocer in April. I placed the order online about two weeks before our departure date. Everything was there exactly as specified when we arrived, including a case of beer. :drinking1 All perishables had been placed in the fridge.

We paid cash for the groceries by leaving an envelope for Brian at the front desk. He said he is at most of the resorts several times a day so this wasn't an inconvenience.

Brilliant service - we will be using them again in October and would recommend them to anyone! :thumbsup2
