Garden Grill?????

Try checking the Disney Dining Reviews board, they have many reviews of WDW restaurants.

I don't have a review for you but it is our favorite. Food is always good, rotating restaurant makes it unique, and it is not nearly as hectic as the other character meals.

We ate there a few days ago. We liked it. Had dinner with characters. You get some beef with gravy, turkey and cranberry sauce, vegetables, au gratin potatoes - served to your table, all you can eat. Dessert was apple crisp.

It was usual Disney food, nothing spectacular but good food. I generally think most Disney food is pretty overpriced but at least with this it was all you can eat.

The character interaction is GREAT. Chip and Dale, Mickey and Pluto came around NUMEROUS times and really played with us and were not rushed. We have gone to Chef Mickey's and we liked this meal much better. The food is prepared, not "out of the box" like we got at Chef Mickeys (it was awful in my opinion). My son got a make your own sundae for dessert and really enjoyed it but it was his birthday.

You will enjoy it. Plan on about 1-1/2 hours, though, as service is a bit slow but then you get to interact with the characters more !!

I wouldn't hesitate - maybe others will have different ideas.

Have a great time !

I would also recommend this one. Food is pretty good and a lot of it. The characters are great and you get more "quality" time with them as it is a smaller resturaunt.

Is this the restaurant that uses some of the vegetables grown in the Land?

We ate there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. The food was great - very fresh (I do believe that the veggies come from the Land) and lots of it because they serve it "family style". Character interaction was fantastic. I'm thinking about going back to this restaurant in June.

Yes, they do use the veggies grown in The Land. We started off with a pretty darn good salad and also had a combination of steamed carrots and green beans - the veggies seem extra crisp - maybe it has something to do with the way they're grown but they're good.

We enjoy eating at this restaurant but make sure you like the food they serve as it is very limited....meaning steak, chicken, fish, vegetables, potatoes. There is a kids menu as well.

Because we like the food we like to eat there very much. The character interaction is very good and I like going around and viewing part of the Land ride.

We ate there in 2004 and my kids (10,7 and 3) had a blast.
We were lucky enough to also eat at CRT and my kids remember this meal as more fun that the Castle :confused3

Pluto was tons of fun and played tic tac toe with my son. He still has the napkin to this day :rotfl:

The food was good .... but anyone with small kids going to Epcot ... this is a meal not to be missed.

1. Its a lot quieter than the other character meals. If your younger kids need a break from the loud excitement this is the place to let them unwind a bit... especially if you ask for one of the booths in the front... the backs of these booths are super tall giving you tons of privacy (which is almost impossible to find in the park) and just 30 minutes of quiet time to regroup.

2. You don't "share" characters at the meal like at other meals. With the privacy of the booths and the spectacular backdrops it makes for a private meeting with Mickey for some wonderful pics. There aren't a million other children trying to get Mickey's attention while your kids have their few minutes of fame with him haha

3. All of the characters are personality type fun characters. Yes, the princess meals are fun but those gals sorely lack a fun personality hahah each of the characters we met with at this meal (pluto, chip and Dale, mickey) all cut up and did something silly with my kids when they came to our table. They also stayed at our table for a good while, not just for a quick pic and an autograph!

As I said, my 3 kids enjoyed this place better than CRT!!!

We love GG for dinner.
Such a nice relaxing booth to sit in while you slowly turn in the Land.
The food was great - including the kids platters.
All food is family style for all to share. The platter inclues all the below.

ADULT Menu:
Buttermilk biscuits and Yeast rolls with Honey-Orange Blossom Butter
Flank Steak with Mushroom Cabernet au Jus
Rotisserie Turkey with Cranberry Relish
Fried Catfish
Homestyle Potato Casserole
Selection of Fresh Vegetables
Very Berry Puff Pastry

KID Menu options (select wat you wish and just ask for it):
Choice of:
Chicken Strips
Macaroni and Cheese
Potatoes or French Fries
Fresh Vegetables
Served with a special dessert

Our kids got the Chicken Strips, Mac&Cheese and French Fries
They each came in a large bowl.

Pluto was a riot - we said to him that we have a great dane dog at home and asked him what he thought about that and he threw his hands in the air and pretended to shake and be scared and then he ran away (but came back) it was really funny.

Also, Chip and Dale were quite mischevous all evening. At one point they went up to the serving station behind us and started clanking the dishes and everyone was saying "we want dinner." My son went up and joined them and they laughed at him. Also, one of the wait persons called Chip - Dale and he carried her away out of the restaurant. Chip and Dale are pure Disney - a perfect excuse to raise a little heck and have a good time at it.

Adults and children alike will really love this Disney magic.

I totally agree with what everyone says about this restaurant. We ended up eating here twice two weeks ago!! And it is one of our not to missed meals on every trip.

The character interaction is just fun, fun!!! They will stick around and tease and play, but they will also let you have your space if you let them know that's what you want. My son is 10 now, but they were great with him when he was toddler- and I watched them with little ones when we were there the last time- and they were gentle and fun, letting the kids warm up to them.

The food is fresh and tasty, but like someone else said, make sure you tend to like what is on the menu.

I know this must be a silly question but how fast does it rotate....I easily get motion sickness!

We ate there is May and our meal probably took about 65-70 minutes. The restaurant didn't even rotate one entire time during our meal. It's really slow.

You can't even tell its moving! You look up and the scenery has changed :lmao:

It moves slower than a snails pace.

Yes, it's a lot of fun! The reason you get so much character interaction is because it's a relatively small resturant with a very easy pattern for the characters to follow- just two circles! The characters often make it around 2 or 3 times within an hour. I also think it's nice because you are able to get pictures without other people in the background.

I'm going to eat there for dinner on my birthday next Saturday with a group of friends! I can't wait!

OHHH they also have a rehitching ceremony for those married couples ...

Its really cute! My DH and I did it and we got a certificate and everything... I won't spoil the surprise to whats all involved but it was fun!

I have a 11 year old son. He is a very picky eater. We are not on dining plan. Can he order the chicken strips and fries / potatoes from the kids meals. I am willing to pay the adult price? We booked this with CP package, so we are paying adult price for package...

Thank you

Charleyann:santa:

Holly I really don't want to put you off, but my Dad was also very motion sick and I'm afraid he WAS sick after eating in the restaurant!! I agree you can't even feel it moving but it is possible if you are VERY susceptible to motion sickness that you could be sick!!
