Ok... so I just booked the Garden Grill for my trip next week. How is the food there? I have not been there in YEARS and it was different back then. We have a reservation for Chefs de France but I thought this would be fun. Any thoughts?

We like the food there. We always have a great time. We usually go on Living w/ the Land and then to our ADR. It's so much fun to see what your eating.

I'm having a hard time fitting it in this time however now that it's dinner only. We don't want to miss it.

We went in December and the food was very Good, and different than most buffet food. The salad was so fresh, the turkey and stuffing where very moist.
We had an early dinner and they just opened so the characters keep coming around to see us. The only problem and this has been an ongoing thing is the floor. it dont always rotate like its suppose to, the night we went it was not going it was fine for us because we where there early and had a nice view overlooking the land (the ride). But only half the seats have a view the rest face a wall...

I've always thought the food was just OK. Kinda like catering food - mass produced and kinda bland. BUT the character interation at GG is the best I've found on property. So sad that they don't do lunch anymore.

I read on another board that Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale are here. Then I read another that said just Chip and Dale.

Who's there?

Thanks!

We were there at the beginning of May and were very pleased. When we mentioned to the waiter that the catfish was overcooked he immediately brought us another plate. The favorite part of the meal for us was the salad with the buttermilk/bacon dressing and the fresh plate of catfish!

This was the worst meal on our last trip. We found the food almost inedible and ended up eating off our kids plates. We warned some friends of ours not to go on their trip, they did, came back and agreed with us. The character interaction was just ok as well. We did like that it's in the land pavilion and we got to go on the land and we hit soarin' with no line very late at night. I would not eat there again. There are just so many better places to choose from at epcot.

We love the Garden Grill. It is one of my absolute favorite WDW restaurants. It was my absolute favorite until I fell in love with Yak & Yeti last December - now they are both tied for the #1 spot. I love the food and have never had bad food there. The stuffing is awesome!

Like someone else said, the character interaction is awesome. I've been here several times and my group is always adults only. We always get just as much attention and love from the characters as everyone else. We can't wait to take our nephews there this winter.

During my May trip, the GG was by far the best meal I had all week. I absolutely loved the salad, and I'm not generally a leaf-eating guy. The food was quite good, the character interaction was above-average, and the rotating view was quite interesting. I would highly recommend it.

We ate here on our last trip (8/08). The food was good, nothing extraordinary. The character interaction was great. The characters each spent time with us and it didn't feel rushed. However, we had the worst service! We were waiting for the check for about 20 minutes. We had seen the characters many times and were just ready to leave. I walked out with my kids leaving my husband behind to pay the bill. He came out about 5 minutes later. 25 minutes total! It ruined our whole dinner experience and we will not be going back. There is better food with the same characters in other places.

:thumbsup2We had breakfast & lunch when they use to serve them and it was the best. The food was good and the character interaction was great. You will enjoy it. :cool1:

I had the deluxe plan and ate at many restaurants during my recent trip. Unfortunately, Garden Grill was the worst food. I basically ate salad and rolls which were good. The fish and meat weres dry, stuffing was grainy, wet and mushy and the veggies we were served was just yellow squash that was overcooked and mushy.

I do have to say that the characters were wonderful and the dessert was okay too. My daughter disagrees with me and this was one of her favorite meals. She had chicken fingers and fries.

Hope this helps.
