So I’m a bit out of the loop the last few months even though I went back in September, but it seemed like a lot has changed. Anyways, staying off site with my parents for a couple days Feb 2-4th and was hoping to bring my dad to SWGE because I think he would love it. I have limited hope in being able to ride rise of the resistance by staying off site and not being able to join the morning rush of getting a boarding group. But am I correct in that you can go to SWGE any time and do not need a boarding group? Meaning, the boarding group is only for rise of the resistance? Also what are the odds of being able to go to Oga’s without a reservation? When I went in September I just went early in the morning (on-site stay) and it was walk in. I doubt I will have the same luck during the day.

-You correct. No boarding group for the land itself. Just the RotR attraction. There's no advantage to staying on or off-site other than perhaps time it takes to get to the park (or if the shuttles don't run early enough). If you're willing to get up to join the morning rush you could always get a lyft or uberr.
-When I was there in December, Oga's looked like one of those clubs where you had to be on a list with a line of people hoping to get in. Odds IMO are pretty thin.

Yes correct. You can go to Galaxy's Edge at any time and stroll around. There will always be a wait for the Falcon ride (no FP) and the boarding you mentioned is for the newest Resistance ride. When I was there in November Oga's had a very long waiting line, as Unvoiced_Apollo just described as a club line of people waiting to go in. Even the Blue Milk/Green Milk stand had a mega line, so we just strolled the grounds, got the amazing popcorn and just had fun watching Stormtroopers interviewing guests. Hilarious.
