GAH! I hate bad customer service

it is NOT my fault there are 200 plus people on hold! The girl was so aggitated and even said to me that she didn't want to be at work today. She looked at said that with our current ressies nothing was available discount wise. She was unwilling to look at anything else, unwilling to HELP me with anything and I was on hold for over an hour, very patiant and pleasent. So frustrating :(
 
I am sorry that happened. I read someone else had a bad experience too. They should have prepared their CMs for this!!
 
You've got to feel sorry for the cm's. It must be hard for them, I'm sure they don't get in extra staff to cover these deals :crazy2:

I know Deb :( but to have been on hold for an hour and really she was unwilling to help. I wanted to see if we changed our reservations what would work to help give us the best discount. Its abummer that I wasted an hour for her to be so unhelpful.

It's just a weird setup they have on their phones - I called, got the spanish menu, then called again and got told there was a 30 minute wait, hung up and tried again and got answered in less than 10 minutes (I didn't want to wait cause I'm calling from Australia)

I work in customer relations and there's not enough money in the world to make up for bad management practices. You, Angela, deserve great service - I also know from experience that people (I have lawyers calling me for support) can be very rude and entitled and arrogant (not saying you were) and it's impossible for humans not to react to such situations.

I do know that I spoke with a lovely CM who was very friendly but clueless to start with - I told her what websites to go to, what codes to use and we finally got there after 20 minutes - maybe the person you had was just as clueless but a lot more frustrated. It's not an excuse but it's not worth you wasting another moment of your valuable attention, energy or thoughts on - it's over now :grouphug:

Yes and no. I have always been in some kind of customer service and I know what its like to have bad things thrown at you. If a CM is polite and things go wrong, I am very understanding. Lack of manners and willingness to do her job - I just can't find an excuse for that.
 
I also waited for almost 2 hours on the grand gathering line and then got through to an annoyed grumpy person who kept trying to upsell me on the park hoppers... I said I didnt want them and then when she gave me my price it was higher than I thought and she said well I dont know why. We went over the plan and she had included park hoppers. lol oh well, I did get through at least and save some money so I shouldnt complain but it would have been nice after waiting 2 hours to talk to someone if they seemed at all happy to speak with me.

What ARE YOUR DATES??? Maybe we can help to figure out how you can get a discount!
 
I called earlier this morning and had to leave a message! First time that's ever happened to me when calling Disney!
 
our dates are nov 30th through dec 6th (we're changing them from nov 27th through dec 5th)
 
it looks like your other dates would have worked for the promotions but you are now on those blackout dates! too bad!!! Maybe AAA discount if you cant move your dates?

our dates fall within 11/27 - 12/25/10 so we're fine right? 11/30-12/6
 
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, OP. I'd be frustrated, too! I was lucky to have a CM this morning who was efficient but very personable and helpful when I added the discount to my reservation. I even commented to DH that you'd never know that she must have been inundated with callers, all of whom had been waiting upwards of an hour. But if you wait that long and get an unhelpful person - ugh!
 
Sorry that happened OP. I tried to call once today and it said all the circuits were busy. Then I decided to go online. I am a dork and couldn't figure out how to apply to discount code, so I clicked the customer service online button and a lady gave me the link to get where I needed-I wasn't looking at the special offers part, just trying to reserve as usual.
