GAD Fast Pass

If we use the hopper is it violating any rules to adopt 2 people that day, to spread some pixie dust in the morning? I would hate to let 2 hopper passes go to waste and would love to spread a little magic around.

That would be such a "magical" way to start someone's day. :wizard:

However, I have tried to give away FPs in the parks that we didn't plan to use and was met with some strange looks. People acted like I was trying to scalp tickets or something.

:littleangel: You can "adopt" a couple of guests that morning if they are willing to wait at Will Call with you to get the FP card. You must have all members in your party present with a valid multi-day ticket or AP to get the FP cards. Maybe, you could start chatting up with some guests on your way over to the park on the bus? It never hurts to try and spread a little pixie dust. :wizard:

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

I have read and reread and of course still a bit confused. If we pick up fast pass cards for our party of 6 before we enter MK, I know we can use them there, but if we all don't use our cards to get fast passes, can we use them another day for another park. I guess I was thinking the fast pass card we are given can be used for multiple days for any park, but if I am reading correctly that is not true - right????? Sorry to ask again a question that has probably already been answered but I still am not entirely sure how it works. I did receive fast passes when I took a DVC tour and I thought I could use them at any park over the four day time span that I was given to use them. I apologize if this is too confusing for anyone to even reply!

Don't apply the rules of using the DVC cards to the GAD Fastpasses. They are different things.

If you redeem a GAD voucher for the Fastpass option, each person in your group (who is present) gets a card. That card is good for X instant Fastpasses from rides in the "Donald" group, and X from the "Daisy" group. It is ONLY good that day, and at that park.

If there were 6 people in your group, you get 6 of these cards. And that is for redeeming ONE voucher. If you had three other vouchers, you could do the same thing at 3 other parks. Only one voucher need be redeemed for the Fastpass option per group of up to 6 guests (and possibly more if the CM wishes to spread some pixie dust - it happened on occasion with the Birthday Fastpass option).

Aaah, with everyone getting their own card I may adopt a family of 4 waiting for rope drop when we go since there is just 2 of us :goodvibes

Thanks for clearing this up for me, as I was thinking the DVC fast pass and the GAD fast pass would be similar.

Are there Guest Service areas at both entrances to EPCOT(main and world showcase) to redeem vouchers? :confused3

TIA

Yes. Note that the first place you should try is the designated Will Call window if it is open.

:thumbsup2 We made the mistake of waiting in line at Guest Services for the Birthday FP and was told to head to the Will Call window. I thought this was odd. But like posted by doconeill, go to the WILL CALL WINDOW to redeem your voucher. :wizard:

EACH Annual Passholder or Multi-day ticket holder can get the special FP which is valid for themselves and up to five additional family members/guests. So, ONE voucher can get you SIX FP cards. As long as each member of your party is present and has a valid AP or Multi-day ticket. Each FP card will be valid for at least two e-ticket FP rides and two non e-ticket FP rides. "Usually", it is three FP per each group. But, on peak/busy days they may offer two from each group and/or stop offering the FP option after 11 am (as listed on the rules). So, if you plan to do the FP option, I highly recommend getting to the park before 10 am just in case. JMO

We are a family of five (only four members are eligible for the promo). We plan to use one voucher for each day of our next trip for all four parks like a previous post. If we don't get the vouchers in time for our February trip, we plan to use them for our December Disneyland California trip and maybe use two vouchers in one day for DLP and DCA.

Thanks Disney! :wizard:

Do children's vouchers work the same as an adult? My boys, under age 10 will both recieve a voucher for our volunteer work next weekend. Will each of them be able to get a FP that the remiander of the family can use?

Example:

Child A - get FP for family at Epcot
Child B- get FP for family at Magic Kingdom
Parent - get FP for family at DHS
Parent - get FP for family at AK

Thanks for your help!:thumbsup2

Absolutely.

The only difference between a child GAD voucher and an adult is if you opt for the ticket and upgrade it - the credit s for the ticket of the appropriate age.

Note that you will need a certified copy of the birth certificate if your kids do not have an acceptable for of photo ID (at that age, generally only a passport will suffice).

Thank you so much for all that info. It really cleared things up for me.

I have 1 more question: If the kids have vouchers to get the FP card do they need to have birth certificates or is that only if your are getting the 1 day ticket?

Ann

You need the birth certificate to redeem the voucher no matter what the option you choose is.

Do the parks offer "regular" FP during morning EMH?????? :confused3 Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

Can someone explain the "Donald" and "Daisy" cards? I read with the BD FP's that each card has a specific set of FP attractions for one park, and not all of the FP attractions. Is this correct? I am assuming that GAD will work the same. Do you get a choice? Does everyone in your party get the same group?

Thanks for all of your wonderful help!!

1/2- We expect the GAD FP's to be the same or similar to the BD FP.

3- You can choose which of the FP rides (in each group) you wish, once inside the park.

4- Each person can pick her/his own rides, but most guests tend to want to ride together.

The general rule is - if the attraction is open, FP will be open - but that last couple times I was there the return times will start at regular park open (i.e. 1 hour from EMH open).

The attractions that will be available are divided into two groups. The most popular are in the Donald group - the rest in the Daisy group. Those groups are a fixed thing on that particular day, and for the most part haven't really changed all of last year. So it is the same for everyone. Each person's card can be used X times at Donald attractions, and X times at Daisy attractions. You do not pick these in advance - you use the card in the FP kiosk for the attraction you want the FP for. You are not required to pick the same attractions as others in your group if you wanted to split up and ride different rides.

I am trying to get my girls and I signed up with a volunteer group to get the GAD vouchers. We already have 8 day parkhoppers for our trip in April and will be travelling with my mom and nephew, so there'll be 5 of us.

So based on last year's BD FP experiences, are there better days to use the vouchers to get the most FP opportunities?

For instance, am I correct to assume that the weekend of 4/17, 4/18 and 4/24 we would get less FP's compared to say Tue-Wed-Thurs of that week??

They didn't really get down the the _day_ level of deciding how many the card would get. It was generally decided on at least a weekly basis. Whether you NEED them or not is the real call.

terrific info; thanks a million. I didn't think this promo was for me, but now I see it's definitely something I should try for my summertime trip.
