GAD Fast Pass

You don't. You only get as many as people in your group, and they have to be present.

But you could temporarily adopt a family of 4...we're available in early December :)

If you wanna move it up, or if anyone else wants to join us, we're going March 6-13

I assume we pick up GAD FP cards at guest services, Correct?
How early does guest services open? Can I get the card before rope drop?

You get it at the designated will-call window or Guest Relations, and they are generally open at least an hour before park open.

So if 4 of us can get one, do we need to get one at each park each day? Or can we get all 4 at the park we are at, and use the other 3 at the other parks. Does that make sense?

2- can we get all 4 at the park we are at, and use the other 3 at the other parks. Does that make sense?

1- Yes.

2- That's the same thing, as far as I can see.

I'll take a stab at it.

EACH of you (Person A, B, C, D) will have performed the required service and each has gotten a voucher.
(4 vouchers.)

Day one: One of you (A) turns in a voucher at a park and gets FP's for all in your party.
Day two: One of you (B) turns in a voucher at a park and gets FP's for all in your party.
Day three: One of you (C) turns in a voucher at a park and gets FP's for all in your party.
Day four: One of you (D) turns in a voucher at a park and gets FP's for all in your party.

The FP's are for a specific park, on a specific day (dated.)

OK, that was my question. So if we want one for each park, we should only get one the 1st day at that park, then the next day someone else gets theres at the next park, etc.

Thanks!!

We already budgeted in for the upgrade to park hoppers, would the fast passes be a better use for our voucher in late June because of crowds or should we apply it to the hopper upgrade?

If we use the hopper is it violating any rules to adopt 2 people that day, to spread some pixie dust in the morning? I would hate to let 2 hopper passes go to waste and would love to spread a little magic around.

I'm actually not sure what you mean...

The voucher is good for a 1-day base ticket. you can upgrade that ticket to add park hopping, more days, etc. You pay the difference between a 1-day base ticket and the target ticket, which for an adult saves you $79+tax.

You cannot use the voucher to ADD park hopping to an existing ticket. you can't use the voucher to make any modifications to an existing ticket.

If you already have a valid multi-day ticket, you can use the voucher to instead get the Fastpass cards. One voucher gets you up to 6 FP exchange cards - one for each member of your group who is present.

I'm not sure why you'd give park hoppers away...if you are talking about giving the vouchers away, I don't think you'll be able to do that as only the owner can turn them in.

I am hoping to take advantage of this for our May trip. Couple of questions though...
1.Since these are instant fast passes this means it doesn't effect our ability to get fast passes the regular way also right?

2. Can you still get them if the fast passes have run out for the day on a particular ride? We tend to go back to the room at mid-day and I would like to use them in the afternoon/evening on rides that tend to run out like TSM or Soarin'

Thanks.

Correct. They are completely independent.

Yes, in general. One kiosk is left open with a sign on it that will only accept the exchange cards, so long as the Fastpass line is open.

There were reports that on some occasions at some attractions (TSM I know of) where they closed ALL the kiosks, and you had to ask. In some cases the CMs told people that they couldn't use them, even though you are SUPPOSED to use them, so long as the Fastpass line is open (usually until park close).

We are going for a week in March and 3 of the days I will have morning conference, so these I think will work perfect for that. We will have 3 of us volunteering, so that will cover the whole family for 3 days of fast passes. We will not get to the parks till about 3, but that will allow us several big rides each evening at each park. I have to say however, if they didn't allow us to get passes at the TSM I would be moore than a bit peeved.

Well, you've got another gotcha...they do not guarantee that you can get them after 11, as there may be a limited amount per day.

Wow, will this put a glitch in my plan to use them as entrance to a second park on one day? or does it just apply to fastpasses? We plan to hop to Epcot after hitting rope drop at DHS...We may have to hop a bit earlier if needed...

It only affects the Fastpass option.

Thanks! the link in your signature is really helpful. One more question though. Can we use these with rider swap? If I remember right we were able to use regular fast passes with rider swap.

Yes, there is no difference between the FPs you get with the exchange card and the ones you get with your regular ticket, other than the return window.

Well, Doc-

We've not seen such a dizzying flurry of "can we" questions since last year's
"Buy 4-Get 3" ticket upgrade excitement.

;)

Y'all have definitely been "working" overtime!

Definitely is much appreciated! I'm glad I could finally start a useful thread
