GAD Fast Pass

I thought you can get the gad fastpass if you have a annual/seasonal pass? can you get the fastpast if you already have a tickets but they aren't annual passes?

They didn't really get down the the _day_ level of deciding how many the card would get. It was generally decided on at least a weekly basis. Whether you NEED them or not is the real call.

Ok, so that is good to know that the numbers are totally random, but....

Could you elaborate further? Am I reading into your reply?

Are you saying that because of the time in which we are going, the parks won't be as busy therefore the GAD FP's won't be as neccesary? If that is the case than we'd probably go for the option of the special mickey ears for the girls and then maybe just use my GAD for FP's one day.

My mom is paying for a good part of this trip, but my girls could really use some community service action and I think that tying it into their trip would be great for them.

So if we are a party of 4 and have grandparents joining us for 1 day at MK, am I correct that we would not be able to get a fast pass for them? They will only have a 1 day ticket.

As far as I can tell...

It shouldn't matter what tickets THEY have.
It only matters what tickets YOU (as the GAD volunteer) have.

I just wanted to say this was a great promo they way it worked for the birthday fastpass and this one should work the same.

I thought the breakdown of the ride groups might help some out.

The FASTPASS attractions are divided into two groups. The most recent list is as follows, but are subject to change. You will receive a list of the attractions with the FASTPASS card:

Magic Kingdom
Donald: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain
Daisy: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Jungle Cruise, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Stitch's Great Escape!

Epcot
Donald: Soarin', Test Track
Daisy: Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, Living with the Land, Maelstrom, Mission: SPACE

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Donald: Rock N Roller Coaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Daisy: Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt Show, Star Tours, Voyage of The Little Mermaid

Animal Kingdom
Donald: Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris
Daisy: Dinosaur, It's Tough to Be a Bug, Kali River Rapids

We were there end of June and it was really really hot. I think the Splash Mt fast pass for the day were gone by 10am. We could still ride with the birthday fastpass. We used our regular fast passes alot also. Pooh ride gave two fast passes at one time- one for pooh and one for Philpharmagic.
It was a great way to spend our day when a lot of others spent the day in line waiting. We tore it up riding everything multiple times.

Now I want to get an extra one this year so we can try it at Epcot lines are so long there.

4 of us volunteering tomorrow - 4 days of fastpasses for our April trip for all 4 !!

One question : what return time do I get on the "special fastpasses" - is it the same as the "return time" shown on the regular fastpasses ? For example, if at 11am say the return time for fastpass at Splash Mountain is 6pm, is it the same time for teh "special FP" as well, or can I ride instantly ?

I've got to jump in with a question I can't find the answer to, as it is one way that this promotion has to differ from the birthday promotion. Is it possible for the same person to do 2 or more volunteering sessions and therefore be eligible to receive more than 1 set of fastpasses?

In response to sunil, I'm pretty sure I've read that the fastpasses under the GAD promotinon are available immediately - it's not required to wait for any window of time to arrive.

From my understanding, you can only get one voucher per person. So I would assume that 1 person would only be able to do the fast pass once. My thinking is that if you can only get 1 free day then you would only be able to do one fast pass since you don't choose your option until you get to the park.

So...in theory, they could each volunteer and receive the free day and then I could just present their ticket to include them on my fast pass?

So many questions overnight...

Any valid multi-day ticket will suffice.

Correct. The person to whom the GAD voucher belongs (they are tied by name, and you must have photo ID, except for children who can have a certified birth certificate) may choose one of the other options, including the Fastpass Exchange Cards, for which they will receive one for every person in their group (who must be present at the will call window) up to 6 total (although there has been some flexibility in the past).

The return time is whatever time it is right when you get the FP - in other words, its immediate. So, if the current time is 1pm, and the FP return times being doled out for regular tickets is 6pm, and you use your Fastpass Exchange Card, you'll get a FP for 1pm, not 6pm.

So...in theory, they could each volunteer and receive the free day and then I could just present their ticket to include them on my fast pass?

I'm 100% sure what you mean here. They do not get "included" on your Fastpass card exactly. When you turn in your voucher and opt for the Fastpass cards, everyone must be present. The CM will verify at least your ticket and ID, and will give a FP card for each member of your group. Everyone gets their own card. The CM _may_ verify each guest's ticket for validity but only to make sure they are eligible to enter the park that day - not sure of that. So the grandparents should go first and get their free tickets, then you handle yours.

Just wanted to make sure you understood how it works.

doconeill, thanks so much. You gave me the info I was looking for. I was concerned that if the grandparents got a free ticket for themselves then I would have a problem getting them a fast pass card and it would not be much good if the whole party couldn't ride together.
