FW to WL after HDDR

Looking forward to our trip in just 7 more days!
We have a 7:15 PS for HDDR at FW on a night when MK closes at 6:30.

I'm wondering about our return to POFQ. I think a cab is our best option rather than endure a ride to DTD and back.

I'm assuming a cab would be easier to find at WL than FW (am I right?). With that assumption, how do I get from FW to WL? How far a walk is it? Can I take a bus? boat?

You are correct, a cab would be easier at WL than FW. I am not sure about the walking distance but a bus should offer direct trans to WL.

Unless it's changed in the not-too-distant past, the bus will pick you up at the Outpost Depot (right near the Hoop-Dee-Doo) and the next stop should be the Wilderness Lodge.

Indeed, you can get a cab from WL to POR. Simply take the bus marked "WILDERNESS LODGE & TRAN/TICKET CTR" from the Settlement Depot.

However... one thing to think about. A lot of the later shows, Downtown Disney will actually run floater Resort buses from either the Outpost, or a lot of the times the Settlement itself. These buses will actually go DIRECTLY to the Resorts! If you don't see the Resort buses waiting when you get to the Settlement, just ask the bus drivers. They'll be able to give you the most accurate up to date information.

If you really want the WL the boat between FW and WL was a great and fast way to go. We were back in our room in less than 20 minutes after HDD last week.

I would take Tyler's advice about the bus however (there were a lot of buses at that stop when the show ended).
