FW to Wilderness Lodge

We have a dinner reservation at Artist's Point. What is the best way to get there? I recall that golf carts are not allowed on the connecter road.

when we were there a couple of years ago one of the internal buses I think it was yellow went to the Lodge also. I would check and see if that is still happening

I believe that they have boat service from FW to the Wilderness Lodge. Very convenient and easy.

I remember getting on a bus and riding the "back road" to the Lodge and then back to FW, but I do not recall which it was.

Will look into the boat - I've taken one to the Contemporary but not WL. Seems like a good option.

We always take the "little" (resort) boat. The big boat goes straight to MK.

There is a bus that will pick you up at the Settlement stop. Just watch the sign on the bus to make sure it is not one of the color internal routes.

We went to Whispering Canyons at Wilderness Lodge and took the boat. They do a triangle between FW, Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge. One goes one way the other goes the other way. IF the one headed to the Contemporary first is at the dock go ahead and take it. Just stay on when it stops at the Contemporary and then it will go to Wilderness Lodge. That only takes a few minutes.

Another option would be to walk. It is probably a mile or less and there is a trail. After eating it could be a nice little stroll back to FW.

BAY LAKE & SEVEN SEAS LAGOON RESORT BOATS to/from WL-FW-CR-MK:

Wilderness Lodge, Magic Kingdom: (RED FLAG)
Two Motor Cruisers run each day at 0830-hrs (0730-hrs for EMH) and terminate operations about
one hour after the MK closes. These boats run only between MK-WL.

Fort Wilderness, Magic Kingdom: (GREEN FLAG)
One motor launch (GREEN FLAG) runs each from 0830-hrs (0730-hrs for EMH) until about 1-hour
after the MK closes. These boats run only between the MK and the FW.

Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Magic Kingdom: (BLUE FLAG)
Two Motor Launches run at 0645-hrs daily. Both run clockwise (FW>WL>CR>FW) until about 1500-hrs
and then reverse direction (CR>WL>FW>CR) at 1500-hrs. Launches terminate at 2330-hrs.

FW-WL-CR, Polynesian, Grand Floridian:
If you want to go to the GF/Poly from the WL, CR or FW by boat, you will have to go to the MK and
then get the Gold flag launch. In addition, there is no boat that goes directly from the CR to the MK,
GF or Poly. Additional boats may be added to the Gold, Green, Red and Blue routes during periods of
exceptionally high demand, like at heavy MK closings, to alleviate guest lines at the docks.

Strollers, ECV's:
Additionally for all motor launches, strollers must be folded prior to boarding and ECVs cannot be
accommodated on motor launches under any circumstances. Cruisers do accommodate ECV's unless
the lake water level is too low.

At the settlement depot bus area there has been a bus that goes to wilderness lodge.

If you read how to get to MK they offer you can take a green flag boat, or at the settlement depot transfer to a wilderness lodge bus to transfer to an MK bus. That is what we took last time to get to Artist point.
