Does anyone know if FW has lifeguards at their pools? Last year when we were there we had gone swimming in the small pool by the laundry mat and there was a Mother and 4 kids around 7 to 12 yrs old. The Mom told them all to get out of the pool until she came back. Well needless to say the older ones went into the deep end and then got out and thru the little one in the deep end.We were in the 3ft sitting on the steps and we could here the little girl crying in the water,I got up and every time the little girl grabbed for the sides of the pool they would pry her hands off and she would go under. There were other families sitting down at the deep end who said nothing. My sister in law and I could see the fear in her eyes and we started screaming at them to let her out. They all jumped out and ran to their chairs. I was so upset because I felt that this little girl could have easily drowned if we were no t there. When we 1st started going to Fw they did have lifeguards but the last 3 or 4 times there was no lifeguards there.

we have always seen lifeguards during daytime and early evening hours at the meadows pool, we rarely visit the wilderness pool so i cannot say for sure if a lifeguard is stationed at that pool.

Yes there are times when there are no LG at the pool. Why? I can't answer this.
The life you see at the pool work at River country.

While I can't remember their exact schedule, I do know that the lifeguards are not always on duty at FW. Seems to me that they left around 5-6 pm each day. After that, you were on your own. That was also in November/December, so perhaps their hours are more limited then, because they think you would be nuts to swim in the cool November/December evenings!

I have NEVER seen a lifeguard at the small pool. Only at the big pool in the Meadows area. Why ? I don't know, we never leave our boys unattended anyway, lifeguard or not. I use to be a lifeguard myself when I was younger, and I know how easy it is to be distracted, so I don't trust anyone.
