FW cabins or 2 rooms AS?

AS vs. cabins.
We are a party of 6 and have always gotten connecting rooms at tha AS Mo and Mu more than 4 times. We always take a set of grandparents and have never had a problem w/ getting connecting rooms w/ adults in the other room. It helps a huge amount to have connecting! The only thing is we have had to wait a little longer in the day to get our room and we have never managed to get real close to the food courts but well worth it.
This July we had same dilemma and decided to try something different. We have a cabin for 7/3-7/11 for the 6 of us.
We will request a loop (I believe it it the 2100) that is very close to a comfort station. From what I have seen it is further from the cabin pool- looks like between the main pool and the cabin pool.
Another suggestion is waht we are going to do. We have a golf cart reserved for the entire time we will be there. No waiting for buses etc. and hop over to a comfort station is no problem.
I have been looking up a lot of crock pot recipes for the cabins and we will probably eat more in the cabin than we ever did in the AS.
After 8 trips in the past 4 years w/ kids ranging from 13 months to 6 YO I am tired of expensive food that is just not that great and am looking forward to eating more nutritious than we have in trips in the past.
Good Luck!

I hope that the next time we stay at the cabins we can rent a golf cart! It would make a world of difference. I felt a little trapped, having my car parked right outside my door, but not being able to use it.

Another bargain at FW - Trails end buffet! $10 pp for breakfast or lunch, $15 for dinner. Can't beat that!

I would definately say 2 rooms at the All Stars!!! The first time we stayed on property was at fort wilderness. Yes, it was neat and all but I couldn't understand what the excitement was all about staying on property UNTIL we stayed at All Stars! Fort Wilderness is very spread out, to me has none of that Disney feeling and doesn't even have a great pool....and now that River Country is closed, you don't even have that! If you wanted to do anything, go to the store, the beach, the campfire, you had to take a bus. You could walk I suppose, but with little ones, it would be alot. At AllStars everything is right there! You get that Disney excitement, the store, food court and arcade are all right there. The pools are nice too, plus you can walk to the different all star resorts and check them out and use the different pools. pool hopping is allowed at All Stars. The bus system to the parks is fast and efficient. I seem to remember spending alot of time on Fort Wildreness busses. Yes, having a full size fridge is nice but we did just fine with a cooler, or you can rent a fridge.
Persoanlly, I think the girls would have a much better time at AllStars than Ft. Wilderness. Besides, there would be much more people their ages there too. I really doubt too that you would have any problem getting connecting rooms.
Good luck on your decision and let us know how you make out!
