I went on a date once with a guy with the last name of Wilfahrt. In a sense, his name was a complete sentence, _________ Will Fart. He said it was torture during high school sports. As a teacher, I just couldn't let the relationship progress, so yes, I have stopped dating a guy for his horrible last name. I talked to the teachers in the lounge about it one day, and one said, "Just hyphenate!" and then we realized that then it would just be a more specific complete sentence... Poor guy.

My brother's best friend WAS a teacher...Mr. Test...now he is a doctor so...Dr. Test! :rotfl2:

In college, the dean's secretary was Anita Hickey.

When I was in hs, our driver's Ed teacher was Mr. Ransom, about 90 years old and just strange looking. His nickname was Handsome Ransom. My mom said he was really 35 but teaching 15 year olds to drive drove him to old age. At our 15 year hs reunion he was still there so maybe she was right. He still looked 90 and the kids were still calling him "handsome Ransom".

My mom has a best friend, her name is Mary Chris Moss. You guessed it, birthday of Dec. 25th!

My kids hs principal is Mr. Pervet, pronounced Pervay...but you can guess what he goes through with the hs...Mr. Pervert.

I had high school teachers named Richard Glasscoch and William Willey.

Scott in MO

My brother had a girlfriend that her last name was glasscock and I could never say it with a straight face.

One of our local high school's had a principal with the name of "Mr. S. Dickoff". This led to many jokes and comments!

A teacher in a local high school recently married and is known as L. Lovelace leaving one to speculate!

And my allergist for years was I thought appropriately named, "Dr. Hazard".

But to turn the tables for a minute, teachers often look at student names and wonder what parents were thinking when they can choose a child's name; e.g our former school superintendent, Harry Pitt. What were his parent's thinking?

Family traditions aside, it takes a strong kid to survive a name like that! :confused3

Ok too funny. I just got back from my MIL's house, where we had a b-day dinner for my BIL's girlfriend. She is from Thailand. Her name is spelled Peni. BIL likes to put an S at the end of her name. I told him how immature it was, but her last name begins with an S!!!!!! :lmao:

I just found this out tonight~! :lmao:

My 6th grade teacher was Mr. Head. Mr. Richard Head. At least he had the good sense to by Richard, but none of the kids could resisit calling him Dick Head behind his back. (I did not understand all this, my big brother had to explain it.) :thumbsup2 :teeth:

My first grade teacher was Mrs. Lip****z. Imagine a class of first graders with missing teeth trying to say that!

It was great entertainment for my family that whole year-every night at dinner, I'd be asked what my teacher's name was. :rotfl:

Suzanne

My sixth grade homeroom teacher was Mr. Angerer (last er is silent).

In highschool there was a Mr. Borror (borer, rhymes with horror).

I spent many years in school with Ron Wurm - a very nice boy with a very unfortunate name.

My favorite name, though, is our current Cook County states attorney, Mr. Dick Devine.

One of my sisters is a college professor. I can imagine the students aren't too sure about taking classes from Dr. Dye

Mrs. Rucker,
that poor poor seventh grade teacher, there were so many stories and songs about the woman... I hated her then, but later realized she really wasn't a bad teacher, and that name was pretty bad for teacher of dirty minded preteens.

My French teacher was Mrs. Horobitz. It went a long way with high school kids. Not a teacher, but a guy from my church was named Dick and his last name happened to be Ball. Oops. :sad2:

In second grade my teacher, Mrs. Kittock, went on maternity leave and who came in to replace her???? Mrs. Crowfoot! She was really tall (or so it seemed to second graders), had brown hair down to her knees and whacked kids with wooden rulers! :scared1: She was soooooo scary!! To make it worse, she constantly read us James and the Giant Peach using a cackly voice for the evil old ladies that James lives with. Boy, was I glad to get to third grade!!! :

In high school, DH had an english teacher named Mr. Shakespeare!! :teeth:

In grade 7 I had a teacher named Mr. Hole...first name of Harry.

we had a teacher Andrew Peacock, but he went by Drew. Now say the first and last name..... :rolleyes1
