While at WDW last week, we talked to our guide. She mentioned that they still couldn't sell BCV to NY residents by mail and that they call the NY attorney general's office every week but it still doesn't look like it will be approved anytime soon. Well it seems that the attorney general's office called DVC a couple of weeks ago and accused them of giving out their name and phone number to someone who happened to post it on the internet. I had to laugh and say I bet it was on The DIS. Of course, DVC didn't have anything to do with it and the NY attorney general's office found out later that it was someone who worked in their own office that gave out the name and number initially. Way to go, DIS members!!!! You are being heard. I hope you'll soon see results.

Our guide really didn't have any other news except to say BCV are 25% sold out which has already been reported here and that they expect to sell out by the end of the year. This has the sales guides worried as DI won't be ready for another year after that. No reports of a DVC resort in California either. She keeps hoping as her son lives there.

BCV: I heard 30% sold today. The agent also said they are selling "several million $ per day" this month. Seems a little high; they may be in danger of paying off not only BCV but half of Epcot! :D

DVD is obviously running scared with Eagles Pines not open until 2004; they're in danger of having nothing to sell potential customers for a year or more. That is surely the ONLY reason they're doing anything with the Institute, and you may see some construction miracles take place there. I wouldn't be surprised if they started trucking in some mobile homes.;)
