Funny Nicknames for rides/attractions?

TTA = People Mover...thats the way it was, and the way it will stay...haha:rotfl2: !!

For some reason the Tiki Room became the Tiki birds...only sometimes lol

We call TTA The Wedway or the People Mover, and we call the Tiki Room the Tiki Bird Show, too.

DD calls Spaceship Earth the Big Golf Ball and Mission:Space is Mission to the Moon. Test Track gets called Fast Track all the time!

When she was little, she called IASW The Doll Ride.

LOL I was a CM and *Tons* of people call Test Track "Fast Track", but tons also call Fast Pass "Fast Track" so sometimes I wasn't sure which one they meant! Talk about confusing. I always wondered if those who called FP Fast Track would ever say they needed a Fast Track for Fast Track the ride, lol.

Everytime I mention the Tiki room, I sing it like "Let's go to the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, room". It's lots of fun at 10 am when I'm up on coffee and BF is still tired, lol!

I'll never stop calling Dinosaur Countdown to Extinction. I liked that name better! We still have the old tshirts too.

hoop-dee-doo revue in my family's minds is Hoop-Dee-boo-hoo-doo-doo cause we could never remember the name until last trip, so now at least in my mind it's hoop-dee-doo revue.

I heard a man telling his family that he was not leaving the MK until he went to the "Dancing bear jubilee".

Spaceship Earth is known in our house as 'The Golfball'

Elk-in-dorfs!

DD at age 3 wanted to go visit the "Elk-in-dorfs". We couldn't figure it out so we said "take us there." She went running and said "over here - Snow White & the Elk-in-dorfs!"

How cute!! :) DD calls Chip & Dale "Chip & Dip".

It's a Small World is affectionately called "The Singing Babies" compliments of my youngest who was 2 when he first rode it.

DD10 calls Star Tours ...Star Wars. :confused3 Go figure. :goodvibes

Surprised no one has posted this. According to WebmasterBob on the Dis Unplugged podcast, there is an attraction at Epcot called "Interventions". :lmao:

Maybe it was designed for those of us who just can't stay away from the Dis. :disrocks:

We call TTA the people mover ...... still.

Spaceship Earth is the big golfball.

Tiki birds and we NEVER go see this anymore..lots of jokes about this between dh and dbil.

Thunder Mountain is the runaway minetrain.

that's all I can think of for now.

Our DS (now 4yo) has always called the monorail the quiet choo-choo. The Coke cup stairwells at AS Sport were "juice" cups. I guess maybe because he doesn't know what Coke is yet.

My mum always calls the Tower of Terror "Terror Tower" No far off but we correct her so many times on holiday it's just anoying!!

I'm another "People Mover" but my DS started calling it the "flat train" so that's what it is. Small World was the "Dancing Dollies"-but they've outgrown that.

This one's at California Adventure - My sister now affectionately refers to the Sun Wheel as the Puke Wheel. Let's just say it made her nauseous!

After my friend rode that she called it the Wheel of Nausea.

But you had to say it like Wheel of Fortune.

WHEEL! OF! NAUSEA!

Not sure how it started and not really that far off ..... but my family calls TL - Typhonna Lagoona. Whenever anyone happens to say it correctly (Typhoon Lagoon) they are immediately corrected! :rotfl2:
