I just saw someone's user name and was reminded of something funny my daughter said when she was about 4. We were visiting her friend, and she asked the mom for something. The mom said, "What's the magic word?" ( meaning please). My daughter thought for a second and responded, "Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo."

We got quite a chuckle out of that! Does anyone else have any cute little kid stories?

I still chuckle when I read these parts of my past trip reports--out of the mouth of babes!

**After having ridden on the monorail a number of times, Jana(then 5 years old) and I went into a restroom stall together. She was operating the door latch, and in her best monorail voice said, “Please stand clear, the door is now closing.” :D :D

**We often commented about the variety of people we saw at Disney. My children were interested in the many languages spoken there. Emily(8) is particularly fond of hearing people speaking with a British or English accent and often annoys her sisters by talking like this. One day, Jana(5) said to her, “Why are you speaking with such a nonsense?” (Instead of accent) :D

**After the many requests by CMs regarding flash photography, I wasn’t even sure Jana(5) understood the meaning of flash photography until she said one evening at WDW during a storm, “ Was that lightning or flash photography?” :) :)

**We had been to AK the day before and did the Safari. We didn’t really discuss the hunter/poacher scene afterwards but Jana(5) demonstrated what she picked up the following day. We were driving somewhere and Russ drove over a few potholes in the road. Jana said, “SHHH--what’s that sound?? I think it’s the hunters--everybody duck!!”

The first time We went to disney with my children was 1998. My daughters were 4 and 1. In the orlando airport my 4 year old daughter got off the plane and saw the Disney store in the airport. She ran over to the store and started screaming it's a small world...it's a small word. She thought that the airport store was Disney world. It is somthing that I will never forget.

Last week we were getting dressed for a party. I put my DD (3 months) in a dress. I thought she looked like a ballarina. My DS (2 3/4yrs old) came in and saw Sam in her dress and he said that she looked pretty. He said mommy she looks like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Then he started to dance in circles. (he was reffering to the dance they have when Bell is all dressed up.):teeth:

Also if we drive down a hill, my DS puts his hands in the air and says this is like the Goofy Coaster. :p

DD was 2 1/2 on our first WDW trip. DS was 10 and into all the thrill rides. We actually did pretty good stayign together until our final day at MK. DS and I headed for hte "mountians" while DH and DD stayed in FantasyLand. The day after we got home my mother came by. She had worried that the trip wouldn't be fun because of the age difference in the kids.
I told her we stayed together most of the time except when DS and I went of to ride the rides that DD was too little for. DD was playing close by and didn't seem interested in our converstation. All of a sudden she turns around, goes up to my mother and said

" I was too little and daddy was too little too"

This just happened yesterday. The door in our minivan has just started making a squeaking noise that sounds like a cricket chirping. My DD4 says "Mom listen its Jiminy Cricket and he's talking to me” so I ask her what he’s saying and she rolls her eyes and says "Mom....(duh).....he says we should go back to see him at Disney World!" I didn’t even know she knew who Jiminy Cricket was!! Now all day today her and Jiminy had quite the conversation!

My DD who was 5 in early 1995 was watching TV one evening with her father. I was working 2nd shift at the time and came home from work one evening at my usual time. My DH announced as I walked in the door that we were going to WDW (we hadn't been there since 1985). I asked him what are you talking about, and he told me that they (my DH and DD) were watching TV and the Disney commercial came on saying "Make your dreams come true. Call 1-800-xxx-xxxx to order your vacation planning video now." My DD ran and got paper and pen and said, "Daddy, daddy, call and make my dreams come true!!" Of course, my DH couldn't say no and called to order the video! We've been going back every year since and sometimes 3 or 4 times a year. My DH calls me a Disney nut, but he was the one who started all this! ;)

My daughter use to call Huie, Dewie, and Louie, Huie , Dewie, and ewie.
She also use to call pinochio, Pokieo.:p

When the Disney stores first opened we were there with a huge crowd. My nephew pipes up "This is just like Disney World, crowded and overpriced!" Everyone within earshot just fell over laughing and soon it was all over the store.

You reminded me that our daughter used to call Pinocchio Pinochinoke and Pocahontas Pocushontas... problem is we still call him Pinochinoke to this day!!!!

We were driving in from the airport and approaching the big Welcome to Walt Disney World arched sign. My then 4-year old grandson lookeed up and remarked Hey! Look! I found Didney World!"

I am sorry that I don't have a story for this thread but I just had to post and say thank you for cheering me up and making me chuckle - oh well kids will be kids!!!

I gave it to my 3 y.o. DS and said it was from Mickey. He cradled it next to his neck, hugged it ever so gently and said "Mickey sent me a letter."

Our first trip to WDW was in 1987. DS #2 was only 4 yo and couldn't say "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" fully. For some reason he called it "Rotten Railroad" (although he liked it). To this day, it's "Rotten Railroad".

I don't have anything to add, but these are so funny! I LOVE the one about the flash photography!

I have two stories from our last trip. Both happened in restrooms.

On one ocasion a little boy with his dad comes into the restroom and the little boy was dressed like a Pirate of the Carribean and asked his ddad to hold his sword so that he doesn't cut off his "bird".

On another restroom break, this litle boy finishes his business and the sensor activated urinal flushes itself. The puy then said "Dad, EVERYTHING here realy is magical!". this was in March ant the theme for this year is 2003 a magical blace to be. I thought this was just too funny,

Last summer we decided to take a day trip to a zoo near by. On the drive there we talked with DS 3 about all the animals we would see when we got there. He seemed very excited!
When we pulled into the parking lot at the zoo I said....We're here! DS got the most pitiful look on his face and just started balling:(
I said, What in the world is wrong? He just kept screaming.....THIS IS NOT ANIMAL KINGDOM....WHERE IS WALT DISNEY WORLD........
We did wind up having a good time, but DS is already a Disney snob.He gets it honest! ;)

I teach in a third grade classroom. Recently we were learning to list observable properties when doing simple chemical tests. We were mixing cabbage juice with various kitchen things like cornstarch, flour, etc.

The kids were describing the colors of their new mixtures, when one girl told me quite seriously, with not a hint of fooling around, that her mixture was the color of Sully from Monsters, INC.! LOL!

Not from my son, but my niece. It happened about 12 yrs. ago, when she was 4, and Beauty & the Beast was still a relatively new movie. We did not yet have children at the time, and didn't make a habit of going to see the latest Disney flicks. I had found a nice dress set on sale during the summer, and had bought it to keep for her for Christmas; it was powder blue, sleeveless with a scoop neck, and included a white blouse. My thought was that she could wear it with or without the blouse, and get more wear out of it.

On Christmas, she opened that box and just started screaming at the top of her lungs, "It's Belle's dress, it's Belle's dress!" My DH and I looked at one another and tried to figure out what the deal was; we were totally clueless. My sister then pulled us into her daughter's room to see the gazillion posters of Belle that were plastered all over it, and of course, in nearly every one of them, she was wearing a dress nearly identical to the one my niece had just opened.

Everyone in the family still remembers the infamous "Belle's Dress" Christmas, when the childless aunt & uncle scored the most-thrilled kid award without even trying!
