I know every once and awhile someone is looking for fun facts about the ships for school reports or just general trivia.....I found this at the Public Relations section of the DCL site.

Disney Cruise Line Fun Facts
Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are nearly as long as the Eiffel Tower is tall. Each ship is 964 feet long, and the Eiffel Tower is 986 feet high.

If the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder were a land vehicle, it would need an eight lane highway (including median!) to handle its width.

The anchor alone is as heavy as two Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaurs or three elephants. Each ship weights 90 million pounds.

The ship is happy to let you reach out and touch someone with its 1,950 telephones. That’s enough phone cord to run a phone all the way up Pike’s Peak, and then some.

The horsepower of Disney Magic and Disney Wonder’s five engines is equivalent to the power of more than 100 NASCAR racing cars -- running at full speed.

Each ship can make 1,200 tons of fresh water from sea water each day -- that’s enough glasses of water for everyone in Chicago and Houston combined.

Disney Cruise Line will transport approximately 10,000 suitcases per operating day. If each bag weighs 15 pounds, the team will get a great daily workout: lifting 75 tons.

There are 1,367 miles of cable on the ship -- enough to run an extension cord between Austin, Texas and Detroit, Michigan.

The 20,000 gallons of paint it took to paint the Disney Magic (or Disney Wonder) could paint 2,000 average American houses.
There are 5,390 pillows on board.
8,260 cups of coffee are served every day, on board.

Of the 50,000 eggs consumed every morning at breakfast, 1,956 will be scrambled, 552 will be served sunny-side up, 480 will be soft boiled, 984 will become omelets, and the other 976 will be used for various egg dishes.

That's about a dozen eggs per day per passenger and crew member! I wonder where do they store 350,000 eggs for a 7 day? Not to mention a repo cruise:rotfl:

Oh my cholestrel!!!!!:rotfl2:
