Trying to book our ressies for next April and we have always gone to Whispering canyon cafe for the fun element. Are there any other 'fun' restaurants that we should book? I've one DS 8 and DD 4. Was wondering what 50s prime time is like and if there were any others not to high on the $$'s? Thanks.

I think '50s PT is a lot of fun, but when my kids were young they didn't "get" it. We went when they were 7 and 5 and they just didn't quite understand what was going on.

'Ohana has some fun stuff during dinner. Coconut races and hula lessons and strolling singer.

1900 Park Fare dinner with the stepsisters and Lady Tremaine is absolutely hysterical! Those three play it up so well. Loved it! (But I haven't been since menu changes I've been reading about)

Both T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe have fun elements. We have Rainforest here, so never been at Disney but did really enjoy T-Rex.

BOG -- don't know if I'd call it "fun" but it's very interactive. Sit by the window and watch it snow outside. Or eat in the library and watch the beast appear in the painting and the lights flash, etc.

Sci-Fi is definitely cool with the old movies playing and the drive-in atmosphere. But it's very dark. Personally, I need to see what I'm eating!

Pinnochio Village Haus at MK is a QS meal but depending on where you sit, you can be right above Small World and watch the boats going by.

Teppan Edo at Epcot is a fun presentation and very good food.

Of course, there's all the character meals but I'm assuming you're looking for other ideas.

I agree with pp. I loved 50s PT, my 7 and 5 year old hated it... Stressed them out (and they loved WCC). There was a misunderstood pretend "you may have to wash the dishes" moment that they couldn't get past! They loved Sci-Fi,Hoop-De-Doo (pricey, but sooooo fun), and another vote for Ohana, but we do breakfast. They also really like Tokyo Dining. It has a great cultural immersion. Yak and Yeti is a family favorite, too. Not really "fun", but again a different cultural world.

In addition to the above mentioned restaurants, I'd also suggest Raglan Road for dinner. The Irish dancers are a lot of fun and quite enjoyable to watch!

BOG for dinner and you can actually meet the beast. Crystal Palace lunch buffet with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends was awesome for the characters and the food was actually really good. A nice break midday.

I loved Sci-Fi. Yes it's dark but with all the kids (and adults) watching the screen it's amazingly quiet in there.
