fuel prices

Were coming to FW in December and we figure it's going to be around $1000.00 for round trip from MI. We have a dually F350 and pull a Fifth wheel. We're thinking about getting an auxilary tank so we can fill it up when we see cheaper diesel does anyone else have one of those and do you like them. The one I saw you have to transfer the fuel into your tanks but we thought it would be ok. Also thinking about getting an air intake system from K & N suppose to increase power and fuel has anyone put one of those on their truck just curious. We have been going to the fort for about 13 years now and still plan on coming down. It's our big trip of the year.

I put one on my 03' 6.0 it made about 2 mpg and some more ponies. I have an 08 f350 4x4 cc 6.4 and I am thinking about one for it too, I havent heard if it helps for them as much or not.

I saw some dyno tests on the Duramax and there wasnt any change in HP by going to the K&N. I used to run them in all my gas trucks but I removed them after reading an independant test. They didnt do very well, that coupled with GM being very picky about them caused me to remove mine. I run a cold air modification on my truck and that helps a little, the biggest thing was putting a free flow exhaust on it. I dont think thats an option on the 08 with the DPF.

Anyone know the cost of gas in Georgia and around Disneyworld?

According to Gasbuddy.com, as of Monday night the price at the Disney Hess's was $3.09 per gal. You can check Georgia on that website. Didn't know which town you needed to search.

With a 300 gallon tank, I make sure it never goes below 1/2 and can be kinda selective when looking for cheaper diesel stations. The thing that kills us is that last year with our boat we paid well over $4.50 a gallon for fuel on the water and I'm sure it'll be over $5 bucks this year. I guess that if your gonna play you gotta pay but someone is getting very rich and we're all paying for it.:headache:
