Frustration with park hours changes

Disney encourages us to book DVC rooms 11 months in advance, dining reservations 6 months in advance, and fast passes 2 months in advance. However, they can change park hours whenever they want. How is that fair?

My frustration comes from changing EMH hours in Epcot. I had my plans all set then they changed Epcot's EMH from April 19 to April 17. It totally messed with my plans!

I love to plan like you guys. But how are we supposed to plan when Disney can change their plans at any time?

Happens to everyone. It's standard operating at Disney. Everything is subject to change.

Yea it happens. I had park hour changes the week of on my last trip. I got to Magic Kingdom at 8am for a 9am opening. Well they changed the opening to 8am on the Monday.

Youre right. If they want you to play by the rules, they can't change things mid game. Changing times seriously messes up plans. Of course you can roll with it, but it's annoying. Once that 180 day comes dates should be locked in- or change it to 70 days or something.

It is frustrating. It worked in my favor this time as I have an ADR in Epcot on the 17th andwill now be able to enjoy the park after, but it is still frustrating

Plan for possible changes. It's all you can do.

It's INFURIATING!! Happened to me, happens to many, but that doesn't reduce feeling of frustration. Playing by the rules and booking things as far in advance as they allow us to ensure we have the best trip we can have, only to be undermined by arbitrary changes at the drop of a hat.

They changed the MK operating hours on me in February. Turned my BoG pre-park reservation into an ADR when the park opened. I called, they gave me no resolution on the phone. I canceled the ADR, and tried not to be frustrated that morning at what should have been. If only Disney locked themselves into times and dates in the manner they request of their guests.

You are supposed to plan early. Disney..... not so much.

Sorry your plans got disrupted. I think that stinks.
