This is completely my fault, but I need help thinking this through.

Due to school calendar changes, we now have a split stay for Nov 5-12. The bulk is at OKW with the last two nights at BWV. We've been wait listed for OKW since June. Ironically we have the room that everyone wants for the last few nights of F&W, want to let it go, but there is nothing in DVC avail those two nights in either a 1 bedroom or studio.

Yesterday we had our flights switched. Because of the timing, we opted to stay another night over losing our whole last day. I called DVC and all that is available is a studio at ssr (which would be great if the two nights prior were available). So I have three resorts in 8 nights, and hubby is going to flip.

So......... should I just deal with moving if the wait list doesn't come through or cancel and book a cash reservation?

I'd keep the waitlist and book a cash reservation. I think you can cancel a CRO room only reservation up to six days prior to check-in (but you should confirm this with CRO). If your waitlist comes through then just cancel the CRO reservation (all this assumes you didn't plan to book the cash reservation through MS).

I've always made my cash ressies via CRO instead of MS (since I've been able to get better deals that way). But, YMMV and the MS cash ressie might be a better deal, in which case you could use the same strategy but you would need to know at what point you could cancel the MS cash ressie and still get a full refund.

Good luck!

I'd try to get the last night cash at BWV and also keep waitlists going.

I'd WL and do cash for either SSR or OKW (or both). You might want to consider an off site hotel for the last night, possibly near the airport, esp if you have a fairly early flight.

If you do cash at BWV it is best to go through Member Services. Last year I booked through CRO and we had to move. DH was not happy about that.

don't give up on the waitlist. We were waitlisted to switch from SSR to BWV also the first week in Nov. Waitlist came thru in about 3 weeks. Making a reservation thru CRO as back up doesn't hurt. Just remember to keep track of your cancellation time frames!!:)
